The Murdered Man
A man was murdered today.
The usual motives were not the reason.
Greed, jealousy, anger did not apply.
Many tried to save him.
Most who are murdered die alone.
No one is there to try to save them.
No one knows they will be murdered.
No one can save them.
But it was known this man would be murdered.
It was known when and how.
It was known for years.
And no one could save him.
Lawgivers gave a court the right to murder him.
Courts decided to sentence him to die.
Guilty or not guilty is not relevant.
Humans should not determine who has the right to live.
This system of “justice” is unjust.
It is inequitable, dependent on many things.
The accused’s wealth, color, or creed can all affect “justice.”
And determine who has the right to live.
Marcellus Williams was murdered today.
He was forcibly strapped down.
He was injected with poison.
He was murdered as America watched and did nothing.
