Hello! Could you maybe do hc's where Mc has a monster best friend, however said friend is quite protective, and is trying so hard to keep the circus members away from Mc because the friend thinks they're all gonna eat Mc. Or turn them into a fool. Or both.
Mc: I dunno, I think he's kind of... cute?
Monster best friend: THEY'RE GOING TO EAT YOU YOU ST- okay. Okay. I'm calm. I'm reasonable. I'm coming with you to work tomorrow and if any of those freaks show up I swear to god-
Mc: I really don't think that's necessary...
Monster best friend: They're not going to kill you before they do it just fyi.
Mc: Ah...
Thank youuu for your time 🙂↕️
My dumbass wouldn't listen to monster bff lol. ( •⌄• )
Tags/notes: gn!reader. General headcanons. MC knows their best friend is a monster and therefore the circus members as well.
Your bestie is about to put your head through a wall
They are painfully aware of how much stronger they are as a monster compared to you, a human, and therefore is very protective. You're their best friend and you help them hide and live amongst humans with no judgement or animosity, which has led to you being precious to them.
So, when the circus comes to town and they sniff out fellow monsters, they're on guard immediately. They likely scoped it out first to get confirmation, and when they saw the members and the unsettling Fools, they made sure to remember faces.
"MC, I'm telling you —they're not human. They might be entertaining humans, but there's no telling what they're doing to those weird pink guys. Those are humans. Don't go there, alright? It's not safe."
"Oh, well, I dunno about that. One of them gave me a ticket, a paper flower, and the other gave me a pin of his. See? Oh! And the one who gave me the ticket had me promise to go to his show—"
"You fucking WHAT-"
Needless to say, they don't want you going. That pin is clearly a mark, the gifts are some attempts at courting, and that show you promised to go to like an idiot is the exact place they do NOT want you to go.
But, of course, you want to make good on your promise and go anyway, but not without your friend in tow.
Any time you go to the circus, they go with you. They don't plan on attacking the circus members, not unless they really need to. All they'll do is guide you away from them as much as they can, like hurrying you through the blue tent or preventing you from following Harlequin. You call them a buzzkill, they call you a moron.
The circus members would all catch on pretty quickly to what was happening, and only Pierrot would be bothered by it. He'd make attempts to befriend your monster bestie in hopes of showing that he means no harm, but he might as well be talking to a wall. Harlequin would make a game out of it for sure, with snatching you away to make both your bestie and Pierrot scramble after him.
Doctor would be interested as to why an unfamiliar monsters scent is on you when you enter his tent, but as he walks you out and sees the hidden beast guarding the door, he's quick to understand. Ticket Taker and Jester would likely take more interest in you, both for Pierrot and Harlequin's fascination with you, and because of your friend. I think they'd both be pleased to see that a human is friends with a monster and vice versa, but for slightly different reasons. On some level it would ease the bitterness that lingers in Jester's heart for humans, while for Ticket Taker, it might just give him a dollop of hope.
Of course, don't think that that means you'll be treated any differently than a regular human. Sure, their eyes will be on you more than others, but you will still be kept at arms length.
And unless you can convince your monster friend to lay off playing chaperone, they likely will always be at your heels when they're around.
"MC, for Gods sake, he broke into your apartment! Him being sweet and cute doesn't excuse that! Wait— is that a bite mark DID HE BITE YOU-?!"
Crying giggling thinking about it but Pierrot leaning over sleeping Mc's bed and muttering about his love for them but uh oh they wake up and uh ohhhh... they give him a little kiss and pull him into bed for cuddles cuz they're #notnormal
POV: you’re about to fall asleep and you feel your cat on your bed. But then reality hits you: you’re in another country because of work and you’re in a hotel room.
Original meme below.
OMG OMG OMG!!!! I’M SO GRATEFUL TO THE NEW PATREONS!!!!! IT FILLS ME WITH SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!!!! I TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR CHOICE TO SUPPORT ME SO MUCH!!!
Thinking about it... But the Freak Circus members thinking that Harlequin killed Mc... yummy to me
At first he smells blood and it leads to the green tent. He goes inside and sees Mc's blood stained shirt on the floor and Harlequin close by. How would they react to such a terrible loss and because of Harlequin again...
But it's all good, actually, Mc just had a nose bleed and while unpleasant, not deadly, they were gone because he was even nice enough to give them a clean shirt. For once Harlequin was just trying to be helpful and what does he get? Murder accusations
This is a fun idea! I think it end in a lighthearted way for sure, but why do that when I can write angsty drabbles lol.
Side note: I often highlight the names with their corresponding color because I think it's pretty, but do you guys enjoy it? I hate for it to be irritating or makes things hard to read, so lemme know if it should go! :DD
On one hand, Harlequin could brush off the misunderstanding, relentlessly chide Pierrot for his new stab wounds, and move on. He could delight in the reactions he got from everyone, the homicidal look in Pierrot's eyes, the tense shouts from Doctor and Jester as they tried to pull him of Harlequin, the exasperated sighs and grumbles from Ticket Taker as he helped Doctor patch him up. Each expression, each searing stab into his flesh was something to sink his teeth into and enjoy. He wasn't known as The Poison for nothing; he could understand the misjudgment.
But he could also be angry.
Harlequin was many things, and rarely was he kind. He had found you bleeding on your shirt, frantically searching for tissues or napkins, and decided to help. Why? Maybe he wanted to hold this over your head for fun, maybe he was growing soft, or maybe he was becoming fond of you. He was man enough to admit that an interest had formed during his chase. An interest, infatuation at most, but interest nonetheless, and dare he say —care.
If it were any other human, Harlequin would lend a tissue or two and wish them comfort, but it was you. Offering a spare shirt of his was something he'd only done with his family members, but he gave one to you without much thought. He gave you a quiet spot within his tent to rest and clean up while he turned to let you change, and he was fully intending to clean the soiled shirt for you.
Yet Pierrot and the others smelled your blood and thought the worst of him immediately. Pierrot, whom Harlequin has known since childhood, would've killed him had the others not held him back while Bil pulled his bloodied body away. He could see the slight distain and irritation in the others' eyes, only for it to vanish when you hurried forward. Without looking at Harlequin even once, Pierrot had run to you and held your face with bloodied hands.
Harlequin couldn't quite blame the group for their initial reaction. He was the one to play with his food, and since his fondness for you wasn't open to the others, they wouldn't doubt that he'd erase you purely to hurt Pierrot. But do they honestly think him to be so cruel? Surely, they've noticed how his eyes linger on you. Or how he glances for you in a crowd. Or how his venomous words grew ever so slightly gentle when aimed at you.
If they saw it, they clearly didn't care to remember it. So, while Harlequin sneers at Pierrot and brushes off Jester's concerns, he takes this occasion to be a reminder to himself. He's a monster, poisonous, a blight... and that the fondness he holds for you would taste better as bitterness.
In all honesty, I don't watch all that many movies so my choices here might not be all that great hehe (ᵕ ó ᴗ ò)
I don't see them watching much TV since the circus likely doesn't have one. At most they'd have an old CRT and a DVD player. I see them having movie nights every now and again! They would likely happen the first day or two after arriving at a new town, that way the can end a busy day with a nice sit-in and movie.
Juni and Holly would love Bluey, definitely. I'm not sure if there is a Bluey movie, but if there is, that would be their vote! Otherwise, Holly would love to watch Winnie the Pooh movies, and Juni The Cat Returns (my favorite). Oh!! But Holly would also really like Treasure Planet! Only for how cool it looks when she's little, but I'm sure she'd appreciate it more once she got older.
I see Ellis and Lizette enjoying Tim Burton films the most, and Lizette would love The Corpse Bride! Ellis would like Nine, but that is also a little too spooky for him when he's still so little, so he'd watch something like The Nightmare before Christmas. I also see Ellis liking Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky, or Atlantis.
Curtis would E.T and The Goonies, and will be that kid who covers their eyes at the kissing scenes of the latter, and really any movie. Though I also see him liking the classic Disney movies like Beauty and The Beast, Lady and the Tramp, and Snow White. He likes the old look and sound. Though I see Juni liking the old ones too! She'd wanna be as pretty as the princesses!
I don't think any of the boys would mind the movies, except maybe Harlequin or Bil since I don't see them liking animated shows. I see Pierrot and Ticket Taker holding their respective child's hands while they dance to the songs, while Ellis and Holly would snuggle up to their dads. Lizette would do either one, but with something sadder like The Corpse Bride, she would totally start crying and sob into Harlequin's arms because "Emily should've gotten married!"
Hi! May I request for tfc hcs, of the tfc cast being interested in a reader who has very touchy and handsy friend. But like the reader and friend are also close friends. Like I mean ride or die basically.
Hi and hello! ヾ(^ ∇ ^). Thank you for your request!
Tags/notes: gn!reader. Each member is interested romantically with reader, though no confessions have been made. Mentions of jealousy, fantasies of harming another (though these are never made a reality). Headcanon format. Currently featuring Pierrot, Harlequin, and Ticket Taker.
Another draft I forgot about (っ╥﹏╥ς)
Pierrot
Having a friend that seemed to cling to your side every time they saw you was nice, not so much when you have a giant clown at your heels, though.
Pierrot was not the most patient monster, but he really tried his best for you. He took things slow, held himself back more than he thought he could, and took his time in winning your affections. Each touch he gave felt like it was earned and worked for, no matter how slight a touch it was. He was grateful for it, truly, so he tried his hardest not to reach for more than he should.
So why were they able to?
Why is that human friend of yours allowed to hang off of you as you walk? Why are they given the permission to touch you, to hold your hand, to hold you as close as he wanted to hold you?
If Pierrot must work for it, surely, they must as well?
On some level Pierrot understands why you keep him at a distance while your friend gets unrestricted access to you, but still, it angers him. Every time he sees you walking with them in the streets, their arms clinging to yours while you both chatter happily, Pierrot couldn't help those dark thoughts from creeping into his mind.
Oh, how he'd love to tear that friend of yours away from you and toss them aside. Or perhaps it would be better to wait and watch, lure them into isolation, and take them away. He could keep them hidden away, leave them in complete darkness, and he could relish in their cries as his knives do their work. All while Pierrot spins a tale that your friend simply left you behind, a cruelty that Pierrot would never stoop to.
Of course, the fantasy is nothing more than a guilty pleasure. After all, you look so happy with that friend, and you often prattle on about the exciting times you both shared. Pierrot is a jealous fool, but he loves you above all else and understands that you would be heartbroken if your dear companion left you. So, as much as they annoy him, Pierrot will simply bite his tongue and curb his envy.

Besides, you look so cute when you smile so brightly with them. How could he take that happiness away?
Harlequin
It was one thing for you to keep Harlequin at arm's length when it came to touch. It was another thing for you to encourage that human friend of yours to be as close as possible.
Though Harlequin isn't as bothered as you might think. Not at first, at least. He understands that your friend's touchiness with you is them being affectionate, yet he notices a burning itch in his chest at the sight of them. They hold your hand every chance they get, they mess with your hair, they touch you there, they touch you here, oh, just get off of them—
It doesn't take long for that itch to fester into something darker. The feeling is beyond just irritation, it's akin to hatred now.
Sure, Harlequin has enough critical thinking to know that it's innocent touches and hugs or whatever, but couldn't they just give you a chance to breathe? Get those grubby hands of yours that have been God-knows-where and let his hands fall onto his dear one instead.
Harlequin, despite it all, will continue to play nice. Most of the time... Kinda. There might be moments where he gives you one of his tickets for the specialty of front row seats, while your friend is stuck with a regular one from the box office. Oops, how sad, looks like your friend will have to sit elsewhere.
Though, Harlequin must admit that your friend has their uses. It's become easier to watch you when you're focused on them, though the action turns to be a double-edged sword. He'll watch you from a distance as you sit near the food stalls with your friend hanging on your arm, when he gets these new ideas.
Ideas like... what if Harlequin hid one day where the two of you would pass by, and Harlequin's "ropes" just happened to dart out and knock over the drink in your friend's hand. Your outfit would be ruined, yes, but your frustration would slowly build until you didn't allow them to come close anymore.
The thought of you getting separated from your friend out of carefully constructed resentment brought about a terrible joy. Not only would your friend be hurt and bitter from you creating distance, but you would be as well. You'd be angry, upset, sad, and Harlequin will be right there to comfort you. He'll brighten your mood and remind you exactly why your body should be within his reach alone.
Of course, those are merely ideas - fantasies. But dear, oh dear, do they become more tempting by the day...
Ticket Taker
Ticket Taker is not one to get jealous. That's why he is unbothered when your friend touches you so often. He understands a close companionship all too well and knows that almost every creature shows affection through touch. Your friend must care for you quite a lot to be so affectionate.
After all, you spend so much time with them. Ticket Taker has seen you going on walks with them during the day, and at times you take them to the circus. He's spotted you letting them lean against your during the shows, and at times, you do the same to them. But the sight of it doesn't bother him, not at all.
How could he be jealous over you having a close friendship? If he is to catch your eye and love, he can't allow himself to stoop to such a low. Such a scathing envy is beneath him; only a lovesick fool would want to crack the earth itself at the sight of you cuddling up with your friend.
That's why Ticket Taker changed a bit lately. Every now and again, you feel his hand linger longer than they did before. When he punches your ticket and hands it back, he lands a gentle, single pat to your palm. When you find yourself wandering towards the restricted areas, instead of simply walking you back or watching you return to the common area, Ticket Taker has taken to guiding you back by a warm hand to your shoulder blades. There was even a time when you were in his tent, peering into every mirror you could, and you could've sworn you felt hands guide you onward by your hips for the slightest moment.
Of course, when asked about this, Ticket Taker waves it off and claims you must have too much on your mind. You must be thinking about him too much, and as much as he may or may not push down the feeling of satisfaction, he relishes in it. Think about him more, yes? Keep your eyes on him, not that human. Focus on his touch, his presence, because why would you prefer a mere human when you've got the eyes of a monster taking in every inch of you?
