only there, on a bed of moss and grass would she allow her heart to rest.
I love them! ❤️
MIDDLE EARTH + favourite costumes: 1/∞ → Sauron/Halbrand's Númenórean King of the Southlands Armour. (costume design by Kate Hawley)

I love how s1 and s2 have different images and aura for Charlie.
Halbrand, sweatheart cutie: I wish no harm on anyone. World peace ✨✨
Sauron: So you've chosen death, you pest
Galadriel: We all have our demons.
Galadriel, pointing at Sauron: That one is mine.
guys i can't stop drawing them
Obsessed with the scene where Adar explains to Galadriel that the danger of Sauron isn’t that he takes—it’s that he gives. He becomes what the person needs him to be, or provides them what they need.
To Adar he gave children.
To Celebrimbor he facilitated the ability to create and cement a legacy.
For Galadriel, he not only gave her an army, but he was her ally, her friend, when she’d been all but abandoned by her own people.
Even that warg in 2x01, he feeds him and gains his trust.
But don’t you see that he did the same thing to us? As Halbrand in S1, he became who the audience wanted him to be—drawing us into the deception.
Who was (arguably) the most beloved character in LOTR? The most fascinating? The one the story started to swirl around despite Frodo and the ring being elsewhere?
Aragorn.
We ate that reluctant-lost-king-sexy-grimy-mystery hero shit UP.
He became who and what we wanted him to be. It pulled a thread from the original story tied directly to our nostalgic, gullible souls.
That’s why it was as much a gut punch for us as everyone else to realize who he was.
The Great Deceiver, indeed.
i love galadriel for all the same reasons the misogynistic tolkien fanboys hate her -
i love that she is ambitious, assertive, vengeful, stubborn, bratty, reckless, outcast but also idealistic. i love that she doesn't have the stereotypically "womanly" traits, she isn't a nurturer or someone willing to be in the background.
i love that she is a protagonist, that the show allowed her and other female characters to have their own adventures and paths, to be complex instead of fitting into an outdated narrow box of what the female characters are allowed to be like.
and yes, i love that the most important relationship in the show is between her and sauron, where he represents the dark and she represents the light but it's not so clear cut for her yet and she has a long journey of resisting the temptations ahead of her.
interesting choice to have galadriel who was always heavily geared up and armoured up as she looked for sauron be weaponless and practically naked when she actually met him.
