I think people should steal from European museums more.

💧 Help deliver clean water in Gaza 💧
Relief for Rafah is still operating (September 29, 2025) despite recent evacuation orders and forced displacement. Just a few days ago, they were able to provide a truck with 5,000 liters of water to the families in the camp, who have been displaced from the besieged north into the crowded camps of the Al-Mawasi area.
Long-term residents of Mawasi al-Qarara camp, and displaced people who had recently settled into the camp, were both served. Relief for Rafah used to support almost 70 families: it now supports over 150.
You can support the efforts of this grassroots Palestinian initiative by donating to their fundraiser here:

My name is Hamed, I am only 19 years old. Since the war in Gaza began, I have lost almost everything - but I remain the sole provider for my family. Today, we received a threat of eviction from our damaged home, and we have nowhere else to go.
I am just a young man, yet I carry a heavy responsibility: protecting my mother and siblings from homelessness and hunger. So far, I have only managed to raise €1,200, but we urgently need at least €5,000 to secure temporary shelter and cover the costs of displacement.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make the difference between my family being left on the streets or finding a safe place to stay. Please, help me save my family in this desperate moment.

Europe is so fucking funny.
The way they criticize China for provinces and regions like Xinjiang and Tibet and Taiwan, while the people there can speak their own languages and dialects and still practice their very differing religions (now without enslavement in the case of Tibet, yay), is satirical in the light of reality.
Consider that Europe worked very hard to erase regional dialects and languages even within their borders (very recently). They could also barely tolerate different forms of Christianity, let alone other religions. Folk religions disappeared into the aether, actually. Jews and Muslims were massacred, so we know how Europeans have historically felt about diversity.
Basically, Europeans all pretend like they didn't cleanse their own cultures for the sake of [ethnic] nationalism. We're supposed to believe French was always spoken all over France, and English was always spoken in Wales and Scotland.
But since people unquestionably accept that there is such a thing as German folkloric dress and Italy was always a unified country, they have some sort of moral right to claim that every African and Asian country has poor human rights compared to them because they don't like their borders. In many cases, those their parents drew themselves...
Europeans love ethnic cleansing. They should be making very little noise about China.
Why is Hyundai even investing and building in the US? Why are they agreeing to help boost US economy? Let their economy fall. Why are you investing in your oppressor's empire... you don't need their market anymore. Let it die.
A heavy bombing struck near my tent, and shrapnel flew everywhere, hitting my little daughter Lynn in the head. Her innocent face is covered in blood, and she cries in unbearable pain while I stand helpless, with nothing but my tears and my plea to you. Please, my daughter needs urgent treatment before I lose her in my arms. Help us, don’t leave us alone in this hell.

To help get this to more people. What is your favorite JJK moment?
The US-backed settler-colonial state of Israel is advancing it's genocidal occupation of Gaza.
The Israeli military is demanding the displacement of all residents of Gaza to the south of the Gaza Strip, which is now a semi-desert area after all means of life were destroyed there. (90% of those currently living in the Gaza Strip were already forcibly displaced from other areas of Palestine, and are now being forcibly displaced again).
The Israeli occupation is now intensifying bombings so that those remaining, who cannot afford displacement, are being forced to flee urgently to the south.
Palestinians in Gaza, including my dear friend Fadel, are in a state of confusion and extreme fear because they are under bombardment and do not have the means to travel and evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip. What are your options when you cannot survive where you are, but you also do not have the funds to survive displacement?
Fadel and his family have calculated the costs of displacement and exit towards the south of the Strip.
The Cost of Displacement:
€1,000 - Tent The price of a tent is very high due to the scarcity of tents and the large number of families purchasing them for displacement. Some families have tents already, but Fadel's family's tent was destroyed earlier this month and they are sleeping on the street.
€1,000 - Transportation Transportation costs to the southern Gaza Strip are high due to the scarcity of fuel in the Gaza Strip.
€600 - Building and purchasing bathroom supplies
€500 / month - Rent The average rent charged for land for the size of the tent and bathroom.
This means that a small family would need between €3,000 and €3,200 to be able to live in this area and begin a semi-normal life, not including the costs of food and medicine, which remain high. He still needs to buy medication each month to treat his chronic illness.
The time to donate to families in the Gaza Strip is right now. This is more urgent by the day. Bombs are falling and everyone is trapped with no way to stay and no way to leave.
Fadel's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters (#197) and 90-ghost. He first made this campaign after being disabled in the bombing of his home, when doctors informed his family that he needs urgent surgery to remove shrapnel from his body. Now getting this care seems increasingly distant as this money is used up just surviving constant bombings, displacement, and starvation.
At time of writing, he has raised €31,413 out of his goal of €50,000. Not all of this sum can even go towards the displacement costs, as commission rates are still high. Today the commission ranges between 30-40%, but two weeks ago it was as high as 50%.
It is good to donate what you can as soon as possible while the commission rates are lower than 50%.
This is urgent.

We are going through the worst period of the war. We are going through a period of extreme pressure, fear and excessive thinking. We are going through the worst days of our lives because the occupation is increasing its bombing to force us to the southern Gaza Strip. Knowing that we have been displaced several times before this time, but this time we will be displaced to a very far area, an area that is not habitable. We will start establishing our lives from scratch. Therefore, I hope that you, my friends, will stand by us and help us by donating so that we can collect the costs of our displacement and start our new harsh life. Please donate.
I am so sorry you are going through this, Fadel <3. you deserve safety, rest, and healing.
Please, everyone, help my friend to survive displacement. I am afraid for him.
💔🇵🇸 My Daughter Was Born Under Bombs — I'm Just Trying to Keep Her Alive
My name is Abdulmajid.
I got married one month before the war. Those were beautiful days — full of hope, love, and simple dreams. I dreamed of a small home, a quiet family, and a baby girl I could hold without fear.
But the war came… Suddenly. Brutally.
My mother was killed. My brother was killed. Children in my family were taken by the bombs. My home was destroyed. And my work stopped completely.
Then… in the middle of this nightmare, my baby girl was born. A tiny soul, innocent, unaware of the war. She cries from hunger, from cold, from the sounds of bombs shaking what’s left of our walls.
Today, I’m a father with almost nothing… Fighting every day to find flour, milk, or even a small meal to feed my child.
Prices are sky-high — a single 25kg bag of flour can cost $800. There is no work. No income. No safety. No stability.
I write this from under siege, hoping my heart will reach yours.
My name is Abedmajed Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with what remains of my once large and loving family.
Even $1 can make a difference. It can feed a child, buy milk, or bring a moment of peace. Be the heart that reaches Gaza. Be the hand that saves.

wanting authors to get arrested or banned from publishing for writing about something criminal and amoral is a weird and very fascist hill to die on. You could simply not read it.
I'm reading The Dangers of Smoking in Bed translated. The first story was.. okay. I don't like the idea of short stories collection, though I've enjoyed a couple. Idk if im gonna get anything out of it, so I'll DNF it. Idc if it's critically acclaimed, it's not clicking.
I finished Adele by Leila Slimane translated, and I really liked it. It was fascinating.
I'm also reading Leila Slimane's The Country of Others translated and while it's mostly well written, sometimes it's very obvious that she wants me to think "he's a chauvanist" without any further thought. I know she's Moroccan herself, but she's married to a white man, so it offends me. Also, I don't particularly like novels about family stories. They're never very interesting to me. We all have complex family dynamics, and I'm just not interested in other people's. It's why I never finished One Hundred Years of Solitude. Who cares. We're all traumatized by our parents, and when it's cyclical, it stops meaning anything. It doesn't mean anything. We will continue to traumatise our children.
I think family sagas and short stories bore me for the same reasons. I can't focus on the characters, and there's no main story. There's too little time devoted to them. Maybe it could be solved if every character got their own chapter like in the Greenbone Saga or ASOIaF but then, there's not enough to say. Proving my point that these books have little to say in general.
Sorry to drag the critically acclaimed faves, but I'm bored.
No kid zones are discrimination.
The only place kids shouldn't be allowed to enter are places where there's a threat to their physical or psychological being. That's to protect them.
Keeping kids out of public spaces like restaurants is discrimination.
Arresting authors for fiction is actually terrifying. Idc what they wrote, that's insane.
If it's fiction and involved no real people and doesn't incite violence towards real people. Get a fucking grip.
