I know people think Gabriel took the coward’s way out by sacrificing himself with the wish, but he had no other option because he would have died anyway regardless of whether he made the wish or not.

By wishing for Nathalie to be cured from her illness, he made sure that there was someone who could take care of Adrien.

Gabriel’s parents are nice people, but they live outside of Paris and probably wouldn’t be interested in living in mansion; due to their disdain for the rich elite.

Emelie’s parents, particularly her father are elitist snobs, who probably would have treated Adrien the same way they treated Emelie and Amelie.

What if Gabriel hadn’t let himself get distracted by his obsession with Ladybug.

He would have created a timeline where Hawk Moth and Mayura never would have existed in the first place, because Gabriel and Nathalie only became supervillains because they wanted to find a way to save Emilie.

Adrien, Felix and Kagami would have still been created with the Peacock Miraculous, but Emilie and Colt wouldn’t have died and Tomoe never would have lost her eyesight.

Adrien would have been able to go to school and be a kid like everyone else. The reason why he was kept home was because he was supposed to keep Emilie company while Gabriel and Nathalie were trying to find a cure for her disease.

Zoé is NOT the nice version of Chloè

A common misconception about Zoé is that people think she’s a nice version of Chloé, but she doesn’t have any of Chloé’s personality traits. She is her own person.

A nice version of Chloé would be someone like Cleo, Stella, Clover, or Cornelia.

A Spoiled, Self-Centered, Bossy, Rich Girl, who deep down is kind, generous and loyal and who is charismatic and knows how to win people over.

Andre is NOT a victim of Chloe. He is a Victim of Audrey.

He only got into Politics because he wanted to impress Audrey.

He only gave into Chloe’s whims, because she would threaten to call Audrey.

He only did these underhanded things as Mayor, because Audrey pressured him to.

Audrey and Andre are also contrasting Emilie and Gabriel in this regard.

Andre changed everything him about himself in order to win Audrey’s love, but she never truly loved him.

Gabriel thought he had to change everything about himself in order to be worthy of Emilie, but she loved him the way he was.

Audrey left Andre and Chloe, because she cared more about her Career than her family. Gabriel traveled the world because he wanted to find a cure for Emilie’s illness so they could become a happy family again.

In one of the early bibles it was stated that the reason why Adrien liked Chloe was because he knew that her attitude was just a facade.

I know this longer applies to the show, but I do think that the idea of Chloe’s attitude being a persona she created is actually quite interesting. She created this persona to get Audrey’s attention, but got lost in character.

Miraculous AU

Marinette: She says she makes her own clothes. Her sweater's made from "cashmere, from the chin of my grandmother's goats in the Alps."

Chloe: No way that's a real accent.

Alya: I bet she just watched 20 Heidi movies before she came here.

Sabrina: She dissed me for not reading War and Peace in ze original Russian. I'd like to feed her the book in ze original Russian.

Mylène: Ivan didn't even serenade me last night. He was baking "welcome Lila" muffins.

My Version of Miraculous

Marinette is still obsessed with Adrien, but she doesn’t know his entire schedule. She gets most of her information from social media and interviews.

Chloé is much more pragmatic and doesn’t constantly bully everyone else around her. She only attacks when she feels provoked or challenged. She also tries to look good in front of others because she knows that her father might eventually loose the mayoral election.

Gordon and Helmut, the son of Felix Graham de Vanily and Lila Rossi!

Gordon(16): The eldest son, and a natural talent at practically everything he does. He takes great pride in the Graham de Vanily name and strives to excel at everything so as not to make a mockery of it. Clever, charming, intelligent, and manipulative, he is relentless when it comes to upholding his reputation and status, and will gladly crush anyone or anything in his path. Recently after seeing how well his cousin has been doing in volleyball, he decided to give the sport a try (and outshine him in it of course). But he seems to have an ulterior motive and wants to get something back he feels is rightfully his. There are a few other secrets he’s keeping, and he plans to butt heads with his cousin on more than just the court.     

Helmut(14): The younger brother of the Graham de Vanily family, most often seen shadowing his older brother. He comes off as a rather sweet baby face, and will use this to easily pull the wool over someones eyes and trick them. He’s very deceitful, and a master at spinning lies like his mother. He greatly admires and is close to his big brother Gordon, and always willing to help him with whatever plan or scheme he cooks up. This includes joining the volleyball team alongside him as the libero. Even though he’s aware his brother has a plan beyond just fun in mind, he seems to genuinely enjoy the sport.

Dorian Bourgeois, the son of Chloe Bourgeois and self proclaimed rival of Olivier Agreste. Picking up the grudge that his mother held against Marinette Agreste (formerly Dupain-Cheng), he’s made it a personal goal to try and upstage Olivier in all of his endeavors. This has led him, at the request of Gordon De Vanily, moving to Townsville and joining the Citiesville Knights. His main goal is to keep Olivier from winning the championships, and just making him miserable in general.

back on the miraculous train, here we have first batch of (kinda rough) redesigns!

uhh most of my notes are on the page so i won’t go into too much detail down here, i am also working on actually rewriting the series (for fun and also kind of out of spite) if more people are interested i’ll definitely redesign more of the characters though!

Notes (for easier read):

Sabrina: oversized glasses to portray some awkwardness. the argyle pattern of her sweater was inspired by the design of her show. removed the tights she wear because the clash of pattern was kinda atrocious.

Chloe: her hair is supposed vaguely represent a bee stinger. in the show her sweater looked kind of plastic to me, so i changed it. there weren’t a lot of characters wearing skirts in the show, and i wanted to give her a Heather Chandler feel here. kept the flats because they suit her better than heels imo.

Alix: their og design felt very childish to me, and while that fine it felt like it stood out against the rest of the cast. here i changed their hair so it was more of a half up half down kind of deal, not that weird side thing they had going on. the outfit they’re wearing here is inspired by the “skater boy” aesthetic, but i did want to keep them decently androgynous.

if you have any recommendations let me know! i’m definitely open to critique and feedback on what others might change or do. important note i probably should put, in this they are 16-17, not 14. mostly for my sanity lmao

How I would have written Miraculous:

The Miraculous Choose their Holders. Gabriel got the Butterfly Miraculous, because Nooroo felt drawn to his Love for his Family.

Chloé is still the Mean Girl, but she has an actual reason for why she hates Marinette. I would use the main character and mean girl used to be best friends, but then they had a falling out plot.

Instead of everyone being impressed by Lila’s stories. Most of the characters would either be skeptical or irritated by her. It would be like that episode of W.I.T.C.H. with the exchange student from Switzerland who at the end was revealed to actually be American.

Chloé still picks on Marinette, but she will defend her if someone else does. Nobody gets to pick on her except for Chloé.

Sabrina often Insults Chloé under her breath.

Alya actually verifies her sources and doesn’t post anything she hears about Ladybug on her Blog.

Andre and Audrey are Divorced, due to Audrey’s Toxic Personality and because she cheated on Him.
