Predator VS. Prey
Pairing: Childe X F!reader
Warnings: NSFW (18+ ONLY), strong language, rough-ish
This was not what Childe needed today.
He had a rough day at work as it was; between cleaning up after the lower levels of the Fatui, throwing down with treasure hoarder after treasure hoarder and dealing with a stubborn old man who refused to pay back his debt to Northland Bank, the youngest harbinger was at his wits end. All he wanted was his lady to help him relieve his stress. Then he returns to your house and finds this:
‘I’m taking a walk around the harbor. Catch me if you can~ XOXO’
Childe crumbled the paper in his hand and shoved it into his pocket. “Okay, girlie. You wanna play a game? We’ll play a game.”

Liyue was bustling like always, but having lived here for so long it was all background noise to you. After doing some window shopping, you dropped by Wanwen Bookhouse just to poke around. You had been wandering the city for almost an hour, trying to avoid a certain ginger you planned on teasing. Childe was always having his fun with you, so you figured it was time to turn the tables on him.
You lifted your eyes from the book you were skimming through and looked over the railing at the street below. Grey clothes caught your attention. Childe was walking along the street, and although he may have looked casual to some, you could see the urgency in his steps. Maybe he felt your eyes on him or maybe he was a coincidence, but he just so happened to look up at that moment and lock eyes with you.
A fire blazed deep within those piercing blue eyes of his. You bit your bottom lip, struggling to hold back a grin as a fire of your own ignited in the pit of your stomach. The game had begun.
Childe changed course, heading for the nearest staircase that led to the bookhouse. You closed the book in hand and set it back into the table, bidding Jifang goodbye before walking towards the same staircase Childe seemed to be going for. Although it seemed like you were giving up the chase, you were actually predicting his movements. Chances are, Childe was expecting you to escape through the back set of stairs where he would then intersect and catch you. You were proven right when you made it safely to the street with no harbinger in sight. You looked up to where you once stood, spotting Childe glaring down at you while clenching the railing. You smirked, blew him a kiss and started skipping away, weaving through the crowd as you made your escape.
About ten minutes later, you found yourself having a pleasant chat with Bolai at Wanyou Boutique. His latest batch of flowers smelled so sweet you couldn’t help but stop and enjoy the aroma. You struck up a lovely conversation with Bolai, who was more than eager to share how he grew such lovely flowers.
A chorus of high-pitched squeals caught your attention. “Hello, Childe!”
You froze. You were so caught up in the flowers you forgot about how your lover was on a man hunt for you. As much as you disliked the posey of woman that were constantly flirting with him, today you were grateful. Quickly coming up with an excuse, you thanked Bolai for the chat and hurried on your way. You could feel a pair of eyes burning a hole into your back, but you kept walking as quickly as your legs would allow.
Luck must have been on your side, because just as you passed a tower of crates, a group of children ran by and accidentally knocked it over. The contents of the crates spilled everywhere, acting as a divider between you and the man chasing you.
You looked over your shoulder and laughed. “Better luck next time, Tartaglia!”
With a flirty wink, you skipped off again. The game continued on for a good forty minutes, and you were starting to wonder if you were better at mind games then you realized, or if Childe was purposely dragging this on.
On a whim, you dropped by Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Hu Tao eagerly invited you into her office, and not long later Zhongli appeared and joined the conversation.
“By the way, what are you doing here?” Hu Tao asked. “Something tells me you didn’t come all the way over here for a chat.”
You innocently shrugged your shoulders. “I’m avoiding Childe.”
“Did something happen?” Zhongli asked, genuinely concerned.
“It’s no big deal; just giving him a taste of his own medicine.”
Your body stiffened as the bell from the front door echoed. You strained your ears, trying to listen for the voice of whoever came in.
“Ah, Mr. Childe!” Meng’s voice came from the lobby. “What can I do for you?”
You turned to Hu Tao. “Can I use your back door?”
She nodded. Thanking them both, you hurried out of the office and escaped out the back. You rounded the side of the parlor and looked in through the window, catching site of Zhongli talking to Childe. He feigned a content look in front of the staff, but you could tell he was at his limit. The ginger noticed your figure through the glass and locked eyes with you. You laughed and shook your head, racing off once again.
Eventually, you started to get bored. Thoughts of what Childe would do once he finally got his hands on you raced through your mind, your need increasing with each scenario. It wasn’t like you were planning on throwing in the towel, but heading home would make it easier for him and besides, you weren’t sure how much longer you could keep up the chase anyway.
You lived in the small village just outside the city. Your house was further away from the others, giving you more privacy. You skipped up to the door, reached out and turned the handle. You knew it would be locked, but even as a child you had a habit of turning the handle first. To your surprise, though, the handle turned without issue. The door was unlocked, and there was only one other person who had a key.
‘Uh oh’
You spun on your heel, but before you could go anywhere, an arm wrapped around your waist from behind and dragged you inside. The door was slammed shut and you were pushed up against it, cheek touching the wood and a body pressed against your back. It would seem you’ve finally been caught.
Childe brushed your hair to the side and brought his lips to your ear. “Wrong day for games, baby girl.”
His voice had a hint of something primal, and it made your fire burn hotter. Childe’s breath tickled your ear with each exhale as his hands slid to the front of your waist, undoing the button of your pants with expertise. With the button out of the way, Childe dipped his hand beneath the material of your clothing and rubbed at your folds. You moaned, trying to rock against his hand for more friction but unable to due so from the lack of space.
Childe groaned in your ear as your wetness coated his fingers. “I didn’t think being chased would make you this excited. You enjoy making me hunt you down?”
You gasped as he found the small bundle and rubbed faster at it. You wanted to let your weight fall back against him, but because you were pressed against the door you had no choice but to stand on your own two feet and take it. Your core began to throb and your legs started to shake, your moans growing more frequent and higher in pitch.
“C-Childe...!” You cried.
The man pulled his hand away. “Not yet, (Y/N).”
Clearly impatient, Childe pushed your pants and underwear past your hips, letting them fall to the floor. You stepped out of your clothes and allowed Childe to lead you over to the vanity next to the door, which was clear of all the usual items you kept on it. He must have cleared it off when he got there. Childe placed his hand against your back and bent you over the vanity.
“Stay.” He demanded, dropping to a crouch and pressing his tongue against your core.
A drawled out moan escaped you, eyes closing on reflex. Childe’s tongue was doing wonders; licking, sucking and drawing circles in all the right places. You scratched at the wood as your legs began to shake again, your release building quickly. But, like, last time, Childe stopped before you could go over the edge. You whined, hitting the wooden surface in agitation.
“Frustrated?” Childe asked, standing up with a cocky smirk plastered on his face.
You glared at him from the corner of your eye. The man chuckled dangerously and reached around you, grabbing the stood hidden beneath the vanity. Pulling it out, Childe positioned it in a comfortable spot and placed a hand behind your knee, lifting your leg onto the stool.
“How do you think I felt, chasing you all over the city like that?” He continued his thought from earlier, ridding himself of his clothes as he spoke.
Once his clothes were off, Childe carefully maneuvered your arms, placing them behind you with your wrists against your lower back so he could hold them both with one hand. He could be rough but he’s always taken your comfort into consideration, never wanting to cause you pain. He inflicted enough of that onto his enemies.
Childe pumped himself a few times, lined up, then pushed in. Moans slipped from both of you as your body accepted him eagerly. Curses dropped from Childe as he dragged himself in and out, moving slowly as if to savour the feel of you. Your muscles seemed to tighten with each thrust, pulling him in but trying to push him out at the same time. It didn’t take long for him to build a pace. You quickly dissolved into a mess below him, a piece of your mind being stolen with each hit of his length.
“Ajax...” You breathed his real name, shifting your position slightly to open up more for him.
The harbinger groaned and slowed his pace, instead using that energy to drive into you harder. You cried out as his tip brushed your sweet spot.
“There?” Childe asked, brushing your hair to the side with his free hand.
Unable to form words, you settled for nodding in response. The knot in your stomach was being tied tighter and tighter, and just when you thought it was gonna snap, he pulled out. You cried in protest, bucking your hips pathetically as you looked at him with pleading eyes.
Childe chuckled at your distress, his grin resembling that of a starving wolf. “Come on, don’t be like that. You got to pick the last game. Now it’s my turn to play.”
