listen. listen ive seen hadestown live twice (the national tour and on broadway) in the last year, and I have loved it both times. (and im watching a local teen edition production next month) The music is amazing. The symbolism is like a punch to the gut and I could genuinely talk about it for hours and listen to the soundtrack on repeat.

I watched the proshot yesterday in theatres and while theres a few different directing choices for camera angles I would've liked (like more wide shots of the entire stage in Why We Build The Wall), being able to see costume details and character expressions better was like SO amazing. I never noticed the little feathers of Hermes' sleeves or that moment when the ensemble take off their hair covers.

Also I find Patrick Page's teleporting occasionally really funny.

impatience is the root of like 80% of my problems

i went into chick-fil-a (small town, no other decent fast food in the area) and the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. they've been really slow lately and i didn't want to deal with it so i went inside, and it started POURING RAIN. i waited fucking ten minutes for my food (chicken and fries, yknow the MAIN THING THEY SERVE) (also the drive thru line had completely dwindled by this point, i was the only mobile order inside, and only one other person was ordering at the counter, so like it wasn't even busy). so i get my food and drink (shake, which was done like five minutes before my food) and i go to leave and its pouring WORSE. and i had to run to my subaru and my bag of food got wet and then as i was trying to get in my car and put my shake in the cup holder it tipped over and now theres shake and whipped cream on my cloth seat covers and i have to wash them (atp i want to just throw them out, they suck and my grandmother bought them off temu..)

anyway, be patient and also dont be running late and perhaps you wont have to run in the rain with homophobic chicken in a "could be gayer" thomas sanders t-shirt

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.
