And gosh, its illegal for me to do designs. Also coming up with lame hero names.

1. maybe consider the implications of why the darkskinned black boy is the only boy marinette’s age in the show who hasn’t been given ship tease (i’m not counting kim because unless the subtext is raised to text or confirmed by the writers, people will easily claim that it’s not real). is it because a fictional character really isn’t interested in a romantic relationship, or could it be that the writers don’t care about him that much? (and why can that be?)

2. max has very few close friends (kim and alix) but he’s by no means the only one in the class. ivan basically only has mylene. nath himself had NO friends until reverser, but still the fandom shipped him with marinette, chloe, lila, alix, etc. etc. you’d argue there’s basically no difference between nath or max in how they get along with people. but i never saw anyone shipping nath with ART before reverser. it’s just that one character is light skinned and the other is a dark skinned black boy and people love overinflating his flaws to hate him when they’re nowhere near as bad or basically non existent.

this fandom will jump through hoops sometimes to justify their bigotry. damn.

1. if you’re not trying to dismiss what i’m saying (that max especially gets dismissed romantically among all other minor characters of the show, both by the writers and the fandom, suspicious when he is a black kid), then why try to contradict it by intending nino as an example of why this is not bigotry, but also by outright saying “this doesn’t feel like an example of bigotry?

2. nino has also not particularly gotten a lot of writing attention this season in comparison with the slap-hazard chloe redemption arc (the concept was good, the execution embarrassing). nino fans have been saying this.

3. nino is a major character and bound to get more attention than max. i brought up this ask as an example of dismissive treatment among minor characters. i didn’t compare max to nino. i compared max to ivan and nath. other minor characters.
