I’m so proud to present you my very first work, Baia Santa Chiara. It took me a lot of work, because I wanted every single detail to be perfect, at least to me; nonetheless there are some little issues I couldn’t fix, which (as far as I know) don’t compromise the playability of this world. This world is still in beta, since I’m afraid I’ll find lots of errors and problems (just aesthetic ones I hope, but anyway). Please write me if you encounter errors which aren’t in this description!
Anyway chat no more! Important stuff here we go!
Map size: large, but the playable map occupies a small portion of it.
Lots: 86 (so proud of this number being very low!!!). The lots have strange sizes, because they fit exactly this world; I’m sorry!
Required CC: None, except for the Grand Estate Gate from the Store and the lamps from Montevista.
Known Issues:
- When you enter the world for the first time, the camera is stuck on a hill. It’s like there’s some error in non-routable painting, but I checked routing SO MANY TIMES, and there are no problems. You just have to select one random lot to shift the camera on the playable part of the map and this problem disappears for ever in that savegame. I’m so sorry, I don’t know how to fix it!
- The ground near to the University “billboard” is not properly smooth; it’s not step, it’s just aesthetically annoying.
- The FX of the lighthouse is not properly aligned. I tried and tried and tried, and I couldn’t fix it. Please feel free to tell me how to do it, if you know it.
Baia Santa Chiara is an empty world. The town doesn’t exist IRL, but it’s based on italian landscapes, bays and coves. I wanted to include at least some lots in it, but unfortunately CAW doesn’t love me. There are a few “real” streets, the most of them are “simulated” with terrain paint, but this doesn’t compromise playability, sims just walk here and there. The most of the community lots are labelled as “market”, because this label is very useful in my opinion, but unfortunately can be selected only in CAW. You can obviously modify them!
I’m planning to release some lots from my savegame for Baia Santa Chiara in the near future, but obviously you’re free to share yours, I would be very happy and proud to see them!
Last, but not least, I would like to say a big big THANK YOU to the wonderful Sarah of Awesims, because I included in this world the stunning color ramps and INI files which she created for Pounawea. She’s very very talented, so if you don’t know her work (I think there’s no simmer who doesn’t know her work, but anyway) take a look at her website and tumblr, it’s worth it.
Thank you for downloading :)
P.S.: I’m a student of Foreign Languages, please help me correcting my grammar and syntaxis mistakes! Thankyou! :)
