Shale looked around. “It really is a charming place. I love the atmosphere here, actually. It sort of…magical, to put it cheesily.” Shale laughed. “I don’t think going after newly made acquaintances is a good idea, but yes, if it gets too much, I know who to go to.”

Artemis smiled. Of course the place felt magical, with all the gods and demigods around. She assumed camp had felt that way too. The presence of Hecate kids probably had something to do with that, as well. "Perhaps not, but my bow is always ready nevertheless."

Shale beamed at Artemis. “It has been really interesting! I’ve talked to some really different people from back home and most of them are super nice! But some are pretty intimidating, actually,” Shale laughs softly, shrugging.

Artemis smiled. "I'm glad you like it. I seem to have taken to it, myself, though I'm still not entirely sure." She tilted her head. "Hm. I see. Well, if you ever need to have those intimidating people put in their place, let me know. There's not enough to hunt around here, anyway."

Taking a few steps back, Rose nodded calmly mostly to prevent the knot in her stomach from taking over. Rose knew that she knew nothing, but having somebody point it out several times after she said that she was going to change it, transported her straight back to school which she had only survived with a balled fist due to several reasons. “That’s quite the bunch.”

Artemis dipped her head. "Yes, we can be a lot to take in, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon. You're certainly not the first halfblood I've met to have no knowledge of their family, and it's all so easy now, with this 'internet.'"

"Zeus, god of sky, thunder, king of the gods, etc. Hera, queen, goddess of marriage and family. Poseidon, god of the ocean and earthquakes. Hades, technically isn't an Olympian, god of the underworld, earthly riches, and the dead. Demeter, goddess of agriculture, nature, fertility, and so on. Athena, goddess of wisdom and battle, strategic warfare. Ares, god of war and violence. Artemis, me, maiden goddess of the hunt, the moon, wild animals, virginity, archery, etc. Apollo, my twin brother, god of light, medicine, music, poetry, archery, the sun, prophecy, and again, etc. Hephaestus, god of the forge, fire, metal-working, craft, all that. Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. Hermes, the messenger, god of thieves, travelers, commerce, and games. Dionysus, god of wine, ecstasy, partying. Hestia, goddess of the home and the hearth, domestically." Artemis exhaled slowly. "And those are just the Olympians."

Shale blinked and thought about this piece of advice. It did make sense. “Oh, well…that’s true. Well, I hope it gets reborn into something nice then!” Shale smiled. Talking to Artemis made her feel better already. There was this calm after talking to her.

Artemis was mildly surprised when Shale seemed to take her advice well. She smiled. "As do I. So, Shale, how have you been, aside from that?" She tilted her head slightly to the side. "How is the lovely Halfblood Academy treating you?"

I don't mind it as long as the kids do not get too wild. Just... a few unsavory past experiences.

Shale furrowed her eyebrows. “Yes, I understand the circle of life, One has to die for another to live. But..it wasn’t a hunt, it got killed because i called for its help when we were trying to battle the Hydra. So, it was partially…my fault, that’s what I feel so horrible about.” She sighed.

Artemis nodded slowly. "I see." She thought for a moment before speaking. "There's not much I can tell you that you're going to want to hear, but if it helps, you can think of nature as a sort of spirit. The essence of nature keeps going, from stags to trees to flowers to wolves. Monsters are reborn in Tartarus, satyrs can be reborn as part of nature. Why should a stag be any different?"

Pretty uncomfortable by now Rose took a step back. “Uhm, Ares and that water guy ?”

Artemis shook her head. "Oh, dear. This is more urgent than I thought. You should at least know the 12 Olympians. Zeus, Hera, Poseidon - the water guy, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, me, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, Dionysus. Hestia, in a sense. None of the others even a ring a bell?"

"Right," Artemis said slowly. She wasn't entirely satisfied with the description, but it was accurate, and she didn't feel like getting into the slight distinction, if any. "What gods do you know of?"

"I suppose you can. Taking one would be really helpful, but don’t you think that I’d be behind everyone else ? I mean I didn’t even know your king."

Artemis narrowed her eyes slightly. "I don't know if king is the right word for him, but you should really explore your heritage."

"Nope, never heard of him. Like I said, I don’t want to offend any of you, I just simply don’t know crap about greek mythology." Rose shrugged.
