It was endearing, how shy she was. Dating for nearly six months already, his girlfriend’s dark flush matched the color of the shirt she was wearing - the one she’d stolen from him and refused to give back - and she kept looking everywhere but at him. She fidgeted nervously, biting her lip, shifting from foot to foot, and twisting the hem of her shirt with her hands.
Inuyasha’s expression softened into a rare smile. Her innocence was one of the things that had drawn him to her in the first place and instead of being constantly annoyed by how shy she was all the time - it had taken a solid month for her to allow him to simply hold her hand - Inuyasha found that he suddenly had endless amounts of patience concerning his girl. He never pressured her for anything she wasn’t ready for, never teased her about how often she blushed or stuttered, and he adored her embarrassed little squeaks whenever he would suddenly swoop down to kiss her cheek or surprise her with an embrace from behind.
Kagome was everything he wasn’t, and that’s why he loved her so much. They balanced each other out, two halves of one whole, and he knew she felt the same because his little displays of affection always followed with a delighted smile that she thought he didn’t notice.
He raised his hand, touched her cheek, and drew her gaze to his. Her deep ocean eyes were wide and nervous, but her smile was timid and genuine. Inuyasha still couldn’t believe she’d even asked for this, but he definitely wasn’t about to turn her down; chase kisses on the cheek and hand holding could only tide him over for so long and he was more than ready to step it up. He was glad Kagome evidently thought so, too.
“We don’t have to,” he murmured, tenderly brushing his thumb across her chin. However badly he wanted this, he wasn’t about to do something she wasn’t ready for, despite what she said. She was too important to him to risk it. “You know I don’t mind waiting, baby.”
Impossibly Kagome’s flush darkened but bravely she did not look away from his eyes, even when it felt like her heart was about to explode in her chest and butterflies were rioting in her stomach. She’d wanted to do this for so long now, and hated that she’d made him wait six months already. It was time for her to stop being so shy. They were dating, for goodness sakes!
“I-I know,” Kagome breathed and sucked in a breath. “I…want to. I…I don’t want to wait anymore.” She exhaled shakily and gave him a tremulous smile, wondering if he could hear just how hard her heart was pounding.
He could, but that was okay because his was racing just the same.
“Sure?” He stepped closer and his other hand landed on her waist, golden eyes flicking across her face for any signs of reluctance. There was none.
“Please,” Kagome whispered and Inuyasha could not deny her.
Hooking a finger beneath her chin, he gently lifted her face up and keeping his eyes locked on hers, Inuyasha slowly dipped his head and brushed the softest of kisses across her lips.
Kagome gasped and he could feel her trembling, feel as she fisted her hands in his shirt with a quiet whimper. He did it again, giving her another small kiss before pulling back just enough to look into her eyes, and for a moment neither of them moved as they both reveled in the sensation of their first kiss.
A rough exhale, a gentle sigh, and then suddenly Inuyasha’s mouth was fastened onto hers, kissing her deeply, passionately, the demanding crush of his mouth drawing a startled moan from hers and he eagerly swallowed it up. HIs arms snapped around her and drew her tightly against him while Kagome’s arms wrapped around his neck and she kissed him back just as eagerly, parting her lips and gasping when his hot tongue slipped past her lips and sought out hers.
Inuyasha devoured her, sipping from the sweetness of her lips, drunk on the taste of her, the sounds she made, the feel of her pressed so intimately against him. His hunger for her knew no bounds and he held nothing back, pouring everything he had into that hot kiss, telling her without words just how badly he’d wanted to do this since the day he’d asked her to be his.
Feeling hot, wanton, cherished, and oh so wanted, Kagome didn’t even think to be embarrassed as Inuyasha growled against her lips and sucked her bottom lip, drawing another soft moan. Actually she didn’t think at all, the hungry press of her boyfriend’s lips against her own erasing all logical thought until only he remained. He didn’t even seem to care that she had no idea what she was doing and continued to drive her wild with deft strokes of his tongue along side her own and his little growls doing very pleasant things to her body.
She’d known Inuyasha was an experienced kisser - it was no secret he was popular with the ladies at their school - but she’d had no idea his kisses had the ability to wipe out everything from her mind until the only thing that existed was him and what he was doing to her or how she responded just as eagerly and passionately. God, why had she waited so long to do this? How could she have ever denied them this wonderful, intense experience?
Abruptly Inuyasha pulled away with a rough groan and laid his forehead against her own, panting as burnished amber stared into endless blue. Kagome’s breathing was uneven, her face flushed, lips glistened and swollen from his kisses and the sight elicited a pleased growl from him.
“Damn,” he muttered after he finally caught his breath and he was rewarded with a breathless giggle. He grinned and kissed her one last time, unable to resist the call of her lips. Then he gave her another, and another, until his girl was laughing and breathless and so goddamn beautiful that he suddenly decided that six months was totally worth the wait.
