Come watch me play slay the spire 2 for the first time!
And probably suck.
There’s something about Fran @crazygnomenclature and good timing that’s impossible to ignore.

The general idea for this strip was planned out quite a while in advance, and it mulled around until pride month was about to begin.
Earlier this week, Fran sent me a video of some rainbow shoes she got. They’re cool!
A day or two later, I mentioned the next comic would be about Rainbow Capitalism, and she responded with, “Looking forward to see that after showing you my new sneakers, lol”
I hadn’t figured out exactly what the words for this strip would be yet, but her statement sparked the idea for the introduction.
Eleventh hour Fran from the top rope!
Regarding Rainbow Capitalism, I 100% get that some folks aren’t going to agree with me here, and that’s ok. But please consider leaning into cheering on the companies that celebrate pride month, and consider celebrating the ones that join in the future, even if they’re companies that have dropped it right now.
We need all the support we can get, and having pride being something seen as positive by as many folks as possible, corporate reasons or otherwise, is a win.
So wear those rainbow shoes! Get a rainbow bagel! Go to some pride events!
I’ll be volunteering myself at a couple local ones which I’m excited for!
If you’re safe and able, try to get involved, even a tiny bit!
Whether it’s volunteering, supporting local businesses or initiatives, being visible, etc, every little bit helps!
Much love, <3

There are many things going on politically that are frustrating, but something that I find even more frustrating is how telegraphed the trajectory we’re currently on was and continues to be.
Roughly two years ago, there was a family member that I outlined how exactly this was going to happen. How certain minorities were going to be labeled as being intrinsically criminal, and how this would lay the groundwork for future atrocities.
I pointed to specific language in Project 2025; Republicans literally spelled out what they were planning to do in advance.
I was ignored.
I’m not sure what it takes to get our fence-sitting “allies” to care, they might never…
…but given enough time and how bad things eventually get, they’ll say they did.

Give it up for Bob, we stan Bob in this house.

So something about Bob that I’m going to immediately use as a segue is that when I was doing all my in-person coming out talks, I gave everyone a temporary carte-blanche question opportunity.
A lot of folks asked about surgeries, some about my relationship status, etc…
…Bob was the only one to ask me this question:
“Why now?”
Frankly, I thought it was an excellent question. I was coming out publicly at thirty five years old, after having already been married for a few years.
Before I get into what my answer was and why I feel like it was such a good question, I do want to state this first:
I don’t think it’s a good idea to ask trans people this. Also, regarding the folks who asked me about surgeries, don’t ask that either. The only reason it was acceptable in those moments was because I gave express permission to the people asking that they could ask me literally anything they wanted no matter what. Just because I was ready in the moment to talk about those things doesn’t mean I always am. Operate under the commonly accepted fact that it’s generally rude to ask people medical questions, particularly medical questions regarding their genitals.
Ok so, my answer was this:
I was publicly coming out at thirty five because that was when I was ready to. Simple as that. There’s no timeline or “correct” procedure for how to come out, or if anyone needs to come out at all. We all do things at our own pace.
For me, it was time to come out because I was medically transitioning and there’d come a point where I simply couldn’t hide it anymore.
Also, I wanted to finally start living as myself; doing so makes me happy, and I shouldn’t deny myself happiness by hiding away.
In a world of people asking trans folks about what they’re going to do with their genitals, be a Bob, someone whose question was about understanding a trans person’s feelings.
Love you, Bob.

Trans prom time!
This one was fun to do, thank you @zaigg for doing this again, these are always fun
And also thank you @squiretilde and @lambinajam for doing this with me
This was such a fun piece of art to make. Here's mine standalone!
Urgent Commission Call to get out of home
Felt a bit weird making this, but outside of work and the pension, this is one of the only ways I can think of to get more income. Of course I don’t expect to get enough from commissions alone, but I hope it’ll be an extra push.

I wanna be the Baa
@lambinajam
That's my trick, I *AM* the Baa
The US government has officially declared ‘radical pro-transgender groups’ to be domestic terrorist organizations. This will certain remain for the duration of this administration, and may hold into the next.
This opens the door for not only the targeting of trans individuals, but also trans communities, the broader queer community, and even allies and family members of transgender people.
Everyone, be safe. Look out for each other. Cherish small wins, and moments of joy.
Surviving is more than grand acts of defiance. Living is in the small, the everyday, the imperceptible. Living is holding a hand, or being kind— little things that you don’t remember the day after. Love each other, and love yourself in equal measure. Tyrants are brittle things. Never has a dark time failed to end.
And before anyone accuses me of overreacting, let me be clear. The last line of the Presidential Foreword in the new policy document literally reads, “We will find you and we will kill you.”
how does she do it????
I mean who would do that, really?
No I just text my insane 2am comic ideas to my spouse who then gets to be just as confused about it in the morning as I am!
