𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒. the dark is sometimes a womb, but here, it is a place of absence, the waiting room between one world and another. life was god's afterthought — if you want to know any stories, you gotta ask death.
𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉, the anthropomorphic concept .ᐟ an original character developed by amanda ( & first established in 2014 ). let this be a study in abstraction taken flesh, in stories of humaneness and what they do to the ones who are listening. if death is the narrator waiting at the end of any story, have you ever considered what she might tell you when there is only the dark to witness it ? ⬩ sideblog ⬩ pinterest ⬩ navigation links ⬩

⬩ i. 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: my name is amanda (she/her, 25+ years old, white brazilian) & this is a little creative piece of my own conception, influenced by several different media such as the seventh seal (1957) by ingmar bergman, death takes a holiday (1934) by mitchell leisen & death with interruptions (2005) by josé saramago or any other personifications of death in anthropomorphic form. the grim reaper is as familiar to us as the face of a mother and here she takes on the role of narrator, hence the first person writing. in other words, without further ado, all content here is of my own creation; & regardless of outside inspirations, it belongs to me. that said, please, do not take anything from this blog, claim it as your own or use my work as inspiration for your own. i have been on this community for far too long to take part in any sort of drama.
⬩ ii. this is a private and selective roleplaying blog meant for a mature audience, that is to say, interactions are exclusive to mutual followers and all followers must be at least 21 years old of age. as roleplaying blogs go, most in-character interactions will be discussed beforehand. this hobby exists as an extension of my writing habits, so the writing here should be developed between two or more authors. i rarely take part on spontaneous one-liners or open starters (unless we have already discussed possible dynamics or have established any sort of friendly relationship) but i do reply to prompts sent to my inbox as a way to get things started. i have the habit of deleting posts that are not my writing threads. if you wanted to send a prompt i reblogged previously but i deleted it, you can still send anything you want on my inbox. the IM chat and my discord are available to mutual followers.
⬩ iii. this original character (the grim reaper, death, the anthropomorphic universal event of it) is easily adaptable to most universes and stories, as she exists outside of multiverses. plotting is always avaiable & not necessarily related to the event of death. however, triggering & mature content is often present and explored: such as descriptions of death and grief, mentions of spirituality, violence and the trauma that comes from it, sexual allegories and more. if you need any specific content tagged, please, let me know. shipping of any kind is not a priority of this blog, but it can happen. i practice the idea of multi-shipping as in each relationship exists in its own microuniverse, independent of one another. sexual topics will be alluded to, but not explicitly written.
⬩ iv. i have been around the roleplaying community on tumblr for more than a decade, which basically means i no longer have the patience for vagues, petty disputes or even callout culture. i do not care for competitiviness, ego fights or relationship dramas. you will only see me openly taking any active part in this sort of behavior if it comes to bigotry. i do not endorse any sort of harm against any marginalized identities. that said, i reserve the right to freely unfollow whoever i please for any reasons i see fit — everyone is welcome to hardblock or softblock me as they please in return. understand it is not an attack, most times it is not even personal, the same way i do not owe an explanation to strangers on the internet, these same people do not owe me anything in return. my time and experience on the dashboard is specifically curated by me and for me & i have no desire to act agreeable for the ego of others.
⬩ v. i reserve myself the half-shame of being one of the slowest writers you will ever meet in your life. my creativity is a capricious muse and sometimes, if i have taken too long to reply to writing partners, i prefer to silently drop the thread and start something new — it is up to my writing partner if they wish to start from zero on the dynamic of the characters or if they would prefer to just jump to another scene. for that reason, no one should feel pressured to be quick when writing with me. if your own creativity or your schedule outside of online hobbies are affecting your activity on here, do not hesitate to drop our threads (no explanations or apologies needed) or to take a longer time to get back to me. again, this is a hobby, if i reserve myself the right to understand this experience as fun, then so should everyone else. when writing with me, the only thing i ask is that you cut the threads as to only have the two most recent posts on it (mine & yours). other than that, common etiquette for the rpc applies.
⬩ vi. i tend to, for my own preference, not take on exclusive blogs unless it is directly asked of me by a partner i have a established friendship with and / or if our characters have a solid dynamic. i think the community is very diverse in its vision and interpretation of the same characters and have no wish to limit myself to only one interpretation. this does not mean that the same dynamic or scenarios will be repeated in case of there being two of the same character writing with me. that said, other blogs that write any version of the grim reaper or death are welcome.
thank you for reading such a long text and thank you again in case you decided to follow. ♡ i hope we can have a fun, creative experience together. .ᐟ ⋆˚࿔
