I've been working my way through Star Trek in release order. I finished The Original Series two days ago and have been working my way through The Animated Series and the first 6 movies. I just finished The Voyage Home and I gotta say I'm having a great time. Star Trek is just such a fun franchise and I'm looking forward to the next two movies and then starting The Next Generation :)

Just started season two of Star Trek TOS, and I was soo excited to meet Chekov, and see him and Sulu interact but why did everybody failed to mention that he's also friends with Spock?!?!

I know they have like no screen time together (that I know of yet☝️) but I absolutely liiive for their dynamic nonetheless especially on 2x02 "Who Mourns For Adonais?" when Bones tells Jim that Chekov needs to stop spending time with Spock or else he'll turn into him 🥹🥹

It's that just not the cutest? (Which btw, I wanted to know what fluffly thing Chekov was talking about Dr McCoy!!)

ISTQ, BorealisBlue, the Trek fic writer who makes amazing paintings for all their work, is keeping the Enterprise flying through the stars for me.

I haven't felt this excited for a Trek story since I was in the 3rd grade, reading "The Pandora Principle" for the first time.

And yes, my 3rd grade self immediately went to my 386 computer & wrote a fanfic, updating "The Pandora Principle" to the TNG universe.

And inserting myself into Saavik's role, of course! "Not go!"

Something about how inherently embarrassing it is for a character to find out they've been delirious for an amount of time. Like, I just love how universal this trope is -- in almost every piece of media I've Consumed where a character is told outright or it's implied to them that they've been Very out of it and slipping in and out of consciousness for a while, the reaction is always oh god really?? The discomfort of knowing just How vulnerable they were.
