đĄ recent life-changing realization: Not sure if itâs life changing but recently I went through something super difficult but it was my second time going through it and it was definitely much easier. The concept isnât new lol, everyone knows âwhat doesnât kill you makes you strongerâ but itâs really hard to think of yourself as stronger just because you made it out of something thatâs difficult. On the contrary lol I feel like you feel beat up and weaker than before, but itâs true that youâre stronger. And if you encounter that same hardship again in life, it wonât ever be as bad as last time. You may have new tools to deal with it and insight from having experienced it before, at the very least youâre better off than your past self was simply by even knowing that youâve made it out of this before.
đľ choice of drink while studying: ginger (tea)! PSA for anyone who ever has bloating issues: cut up some ginger and boil it in water and make âteaâ essentially. Drink it and enjoy your non-gassy stomach afterward đ very useful for sensitive stomachs that suffer when youâre nervous abt exams. Otherwise I also enjoy coconut water + peach green tea bubble tea.

Random Fact #6,370
Native English speakers have trouble remembering the difference between there, theyâre, and their.
Native Portuguese speakers have a similar struggle of their own: porque, por que, por quĂŞ, and porquĂŞ.
=-=-=
Porque â Because
Por que â âWhyâ when used in the start of a question (Why werenât you at school?)
Por quĂŞ â âWhyâ when used at the end of a sentence (e.g. Atrasaram por quĂŞ? [Why are you late?])
PorquĂŞ â Used as a noun and appears accompanied by a determiner (an article, for example). (e.g. âQueria saber o porquĂŞ de sua tristeza para poder ajudĂĄ-loâ => "I wanted to know the reason for his sadness so I could help himâ)
Tranquils Studyblr Challenge - Day 4
4. When was the last time you had a life-changing revelation? What revelation did you have?
After a certain point, when functionality and efficiency grow, enjoyment, gratitude and self-fulfillment lessens. We can have anything with a click of a mouse or a touch on the screen, so we only get microdosis of dopamine and life feels bland. I can buy cheap bread in the supermarket made by a machine, filled with sugar and conservants so it won't rot weeks, and of which taste I won't remember in an hour or less. Or I can take some time of my life and bake my own bread. Learn something new, feel proud of myself, eat something delicious, make memories, gift it to friends, teach them how to bake bread themselves, make your children and their children have beautiful memories when they smell feshly baked bread... For them it will always taste like nothing else they have ever tasted, like magic.
Great things take time. You can try to speed run life, but that only means you won't take any time to enjoy it.
Today, I am grateful for my amazing work colleagues. I know how rare it is to find people at work with whom you can vibe. One of my colleagues is teaching me some Greek basics and we are having a great time learning from each other and laughing together at my horrible pronunciation and attempts to speak the language with zero knowledge. For me, it's small moments like this that make life worth living.
Nature x Melancholy
Spring Edition I: 梌éćśĺ (Awakening Dream)
Spring Edition is inspired by Sarah Chen's song, Awakening Dream. The song title in Mandarin actually translates to "the moment you awaken from a dream", the dream referring to the relationship that the character had just gotten out of.
Clumsy translation:
You've long known of inevitable heartbreak,
So why fall so fast so deep?
When love is perpetually difficult to renounce and relinquish
Why take to heart that tiny bit of tenderness?
03.09.22 - not a very productive Saturday, but friends always make it better
Tranquils Studyblr Challenge - Day 3

Tranquils Studyblr Challenge - Day 2
Today, I am grateful for the people in my life that I can trust.
Today, I choose peace.
Today, my goals are to hit the gym and clean my room.
2. What is the last book you finished? 1984 by George Orwell. I really loved this one! It is definitely on my top ten.
Write ugly. Don't feel bad about your messy room. Your desk looks nothing like the study motivation tag, or studyblr tag, but no one has to know. Just get as much done as you can.
I used to try to take pretty notes with the midline highlighters and gold pens, but they took too long and ultimately wasted time. The importance is the information, not the aesthetic. So don't beat yourself up about ugly notes.
(still all the love to those who manage to create this aesthetic. It's beautiful. It makes me feel bad sometimes.)
