I'm BEGGING everyone in the uk to regularly check the gov petition website for any petitions against ID age verification you can sign PLEASE

If you’re a UK citizen and you haven’t seen them already, here’s a couple petitions to get you started:

Petition: Do not ban children from using virtual private networks

We call upon the UK Government to reject any calls or lobbying that propose to restrict or ban the use of virtual private networks ("VPNs")

Petition: Withdraw the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill immediately

Government to withdraw the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill immediately, because it downgrades education for all children, undermines e

(Here is some extra info on this Act and how it can affect VPN’s and online privacy. Though I would encourage you to do your own research on it too!)

UK government may 'age restrict or limit children’s VPN use' following three-month consultation

The government is tabling new powers that will allow it to enforce digital safety measures more quickly

You can also contact your local MP to express your concerns for online ‘safety’ legislations. Which you can do in person or through emails, phone calls, etc. The more people who speak out about this, the higher chance we have of getting these policies changed or stopped altogether.

If you want to email, Writetothem is a really helpful site to use, as they give your MP a 2 week time limit to make sure that you get a reply!
