I've been having fun playing dress up today. Might be #larp characters, might be for the #renfaire this year, might even have something figured out for 13 gears. It feels good to be creative again.

I've been having fun designing stuff for Dominik, Alex, and me the past few days. First let me say I fully realize working out doesn't always feel good. For me it's really triggering - physical activity has always been a huge source of shame for me. I do recognize that I'm privileged - I'm able-bodied, relatively healthy, and am capable of day-to-day physical activity. Working out, though? Brings back every insult, every reminder of how my body isn't acceptable, and every reminder that I'm bad at sports and anything athletic. Anxiety does that. But I do it because I know it's what I should do. ...and because I know I want to keep up with my kid. Maybe one day my self image won't be obliterated every time I pick up free weights or get out of breath, but that day is not today. If you struggle with the same feelings when working out or exercising - know that I see you. And I think you're doing great.

I did a rescape of the ten gallon a couple days ago. The vals were taking over the tank and choking out my crypts and the sad sword in the back. So I pulled out the majority of them, added a bit more substrate, and repositioned the driftwood. Thus far Magnus and the shrimp seem to like it!

Thinned the carrots out, finally. They look pretty good, even though they're pretty small yet!

One week ago, my fish Alphonse jumped from my ten gallon tank, and passed away 24 hours later. I only got to enjoy his company for two weeks, but I miss him. Yesterday, I got this big guy. He's a "king" betta, and so far he's a gentle giant. I've decided to name him Magnus, because he is a big fighter who is also very gentle. (He hasn't bothered my shrimp at all yet) #bettafish #theadventurezone #plantedtank
