Secrets Of The Clans will be open for new ShadowClan & RiverClan members starting August 1st and ending August 15th!
We are a discord-based, 15+ TTRPG inspired roleplay! This meaning, we incorperate dice-rolls for random chance and eight sets of skills with the ability to level up when gaining EXP. We have been on-going since 2020 and have over 100 active members!

Basic FAQ
So, how does joining work?
A great question! Upon joining our server, you'll be confined to our "rookie nursery" where you, everyone else waiting to join and our server staff will be there to greet and hangout before you're allowed into your Clan! We have our membership application pinned in the channel for you to fill out whenever you'd like.
Once the server is open, staff will look over your application to ensure you meet our age-restriction and will sort you into one of the open Clans! We allow everyone who meets requrements into the roleplay!
How many Clans can we join?
While previously you would be restricted to a singular Clan, SOTC has expanded our rules to allow everyone into a second Clan once they reach twelve completed activity checks! An activity check happens once every month.
Systems & Mechanics
Skills & EXP
EXP is used to level up your character’s skills. Each thread has a "focus" that dictates what skills you are allowed to gain EXP in for that thread. Each roll of these skills (even if a failed roll) will gain your character +1 EXP.
When roleplaying with skills, you'll be able to use our dice system to determine the outcome! Let's say you're attempting to catch some prey, you would roll hunting at the level they're at and our bot will let you know the rest!
Litters & Kits
SOTC has a custom litter roll system! This meaning, we gather your character & their partner(s) genes in order to create a genetically accurate litter.
If you don't know how genes work, don't worry! There's a channel in our server where some of our more gene-loving members will happily help you sort out your character's genetics.
Once your litter is rolled and ready to be born, staff will present the litter with fun description, genes, starting skills and provided art. The art that's created for your litter is simply to give visual of what your kits should look like and can be designed differently beyond this.
Kits can be born to a single parent & NPC, by surrogacy, adopted outside of the Clans and can even be rolled between a dam & multiple sires for a polyamorous couple.
Should you be roleplaying a same-sex couple who genetically cannot produce offspring, you're able to use one of the cat's genes for an NPC! Almost everything is possible so long as it fits within our system.
Roleplay
Roleplay in SOTC happen in "threads" that help determine you, your roleplay partner(s) and any readers of any potential triggers, the pace of roleplay you would like to go at, the skill EXP you want to earn & the setting of where you're roleplaying.
You have a max of 2 threads that your character can be in at a time. If you have an HR, a parent character, a kit, an apprentice, or a mentor, you will have an additional thread on top of the two you have already been granted!

Secrets of the Clans is a 15+ Discord-based semi-literate Warrior Cats RP based in the Forest Territories with the Original Four Clans! With over 200 members, we offer a realistic and genuine warrior cats experience through our unique TTRPG-inspired systems!
What makes Secrets Of The Clans unique?
★ —Upon joining SOTC, you will fill out a membership form that doubles as a Clan-assigning personality quiz! Once you are assigned your clan, you will be clan-locked. (Don't worry if you're unhappy with where you're sorted, you're able to switch!)
Our clan-locked system helps to create bonds within your clan, more realistic cross-clan romances and rivalries as well as gatherings that can feel authentic and surprising!
With a huge server that currently holds 200+ members, it also helps split you into smaller sections and gives you a more homely and intimate amount of members to roleplay with.
Clans are different from the books!
While each clan is based off of the ones from the books, they are expanded on with their own sets of lore and different warrior-specific specialty ranks that makes them entirely different from the source materials!
🍃 Windclan, following Tallstar's Revenge, has tunnelers who explore the underground of their territory and moor-runners who chase breezes upon the moor.
⚡Thunderclan is split between the danger of towering branches and tangle of intense foliage, their ranks are hearthborn and timbereds.
💧Riverclan specializes in the land and the water, following specialized and deadly tactics in battle their ranks are; shorekeepers and waterweavers.
🌕Shadowclan rises with the sun and the moon, their clan is uniquely split between those who live during the night and day, their ranks are titled nighthunters and dayguards.

ThunderClan’s tradition of “paw-staining”— the process of making and using pigments to paint a cat’s fur— is used socially for important events, but also as a form of self-expression!
I guess that means there are all sorts of colorful characters in the Clans, both figuratively and literally.
