I must say that I learned a great amount from this section of this class. The acknowledgment of the existence of “Black Twitter” took struck me as odd for a moment. As I continued to read the assigned reading I was once again presented the opportunity to see something different. It was not the existence of black people communicating via twitter but the power gives nor better stated taken by to this collection of individuals. As stated in a reading people who do not naturally have a political and/or financial voice must find a voice of their own. What marching once was for black people social media has now taken its place. The collective unified voice once again shows us the power given to the unified. I sadly say here that I previously was not engaged in this conversation particularly via Twitter yet I plan as a Black man to change this quickly.
