Hello! Being sick is expensive! I have one confirmed autoimmune disease and two suspected ones amongst a variety of other chronic conditions & I've recently started infusion immunosuppressants. i think it's unfortunate that though games like the sims and the new tomodachi life are getting lauded for their lgbt representation (which is great and necessary, don't get me wrong), i haven't seen much discussion about how they severely lack any kind of disability representation. no wheelchairs or other mobility aids like canes or crutches, no amputee options. sims 4 only recently added blood glucose monitors and hearing aids in create-a-sim, but there's no gameplay functionality to go with them. i was trying to make a disabled oc in tomodachi life and i just think it sucks that lots of folks still can't make a character that truly represents them, even in 2026.

hey so i dont tend to go into too much detail abt our life situation here but we are in need of help this month because rent has increased and it's been a tough month for us (though i know it has been for everyone)

I understand the uneasiness around nonbinary people seeing tme/tma as another binary they want to avoid arbitrarily being "sorted" into but the fact of the matter is as long as the sex-gender binary as a socially constructed institution exists and is violently enforced via transmisogynistic oppression, tme/tma will continue to be useful terms for identifying the primary targets of that oppression and there is only so much a nonbinary person can do to avoid reckoning with that violently enforced binary.

You can't individualistically discard the sex-gender binary internally and not reckon with the fact that as a social construction it still exists and needs to be dismantled. That can't happen from individual action.
