we didn't receive enough help with rent so i was only able to put in a partial payment. my bank account is in the negatives now. utility bill later this month. still falling behind on owed rent too. monthly rent is now $1,097.

and she has an overdue phone bill meaning her service has been shut off and it's DANGEROUS with the late night shifts she's been assigned to, especially as a trans woman working downtown. please click the link for her pay info.

hi. im currently living in an abusive environment and its. bad. i had surgery awhile back and still have a huge wound that nearly spans into my intestines because it's taking a long time to heal and they didn't want to close me up. i had no choice but to move back here. my mom promised that she would help me with stuff while i recover but she yells at me every time i ask for help with anything and im not capable of doing any of it by myself without further injuring myself

i need help. i cant afford housing rn bc donos have been difficult and idk if i can get a caregiver but if i could at least get help with basic expenses like food and getting my phone activated and saving up for if (when lbr) i need a quick escape i would really appreciate it

"what is this about" everything!!!! the minute you critique a story or author for being misogynistic or racist or bigoted in any way, people come out of the woodwork with the "it's not that deep"s and many other phrases like it, trying to justify and defend something just because they like it.

a critique doesn't mean you can't like something! you just need to be aware of the bigotry in the media you're consuming and how it affects every part of the story. you need to be thinking critically about why certain things happen to characters of certain demographics. you need to be aware of misogynistic and racist tropes. don't just mindlessly read.

Mormons stole my great great grandmother from her husband, married her off to a white settler, and then sold all her land because she couldn't find the deed (they destroyed it) and now there's a whole ass freeway and demolished mall on our tribe's land that I see every day on my way to work.

The white men that did this have billions in generational wealth while my mother and grandmother both died from having inadequate healthcare.

The Church also taught about the Mark of Kaine and Curse of Ham for an unimaginably long time; you know, that White Supremacist Theological Copout for Racist Christians to justify the racial hierarchy. Except they applied it to the Native Peoples of the Americas and crafted a whole Theology about how Non-Whites are only not white because of the sins of their ancestors, and that by converting to Mormonism they'd slowly return to original Fair skinned, blue eyed, and blonde haired state of their ancestors.

Then specifically banned Black Men from holding positions in the priesthood until the Civil Rights Era was starting to make the church look bad. No one else, just Black Men... Also Women, because Duh.

They literally demonized the skin colors of other so-called races to the point it was official church policy that Native Americans and Pacific Islanders would magically start turning White once they became Mormons, because in their bullshit addition to the Bible the ancestors of those people's committed genocide against a lost tribe of Israel; and they continued that policy even after other sects stopped because it was comically racist and only stopped because it was harming their reputation.
