Grey’s arm throbbed as her suit pushed another cc of RadAway. Fifth dose of the hour. Her veins burned and itched. She wanted nothing more than to tear off her armour and scratch herself raw. But then reason kicked in and she willed herself to breathe. The air was so thick they could barely see ten feet ahead. It had the look of fog, but it was wrong. Wet and swirling, yellow-hued and heavy. There was movement concealed within it, in the distance, illuminated by cracks of electricity. Grey wasn’t even sure it was lightening. It looked too low to the ground, too close. It had every hair on her body standing upright.
