when I say "girl help" I'm talking to Loki
oh, hey everyone, i’m almost finished writing my first novel!
Im fed up of seeing this fucking post
I believe the artist can be found here. With the Russian caption:
“…Локи. То каким я всегда представляла его в скандинавской мифологии.”
“…Loki. The way I always imagined him in Scandinavian mythology.”
we are literally on this earth to have fun and love each other how sweet is that
"i could fix him" yeah? well i could accept him as he is. you don't like the murder? grow up. the atrocities are part of him and ive decided they're funny
Never Forget the Reign of Terror waged against Muslims (and by extension, Sikhs profiled as being Muslim) in the nearly two decades following 9/11.
Nothing but love for Round Thor™ over on twitter
Oh dude, that girl Casey is on tiktok and she plays the best loki I've ever seen. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMRmuRUur/
Oh my gods, yes! @muirin007 ‘s loki is fantastic and legitimately the only reason I still have tiktok!
*slaps round Thor's belly like a bag of rice at the supermarket*
*instantly gets vaporized by lightning*
Me: worth it
I myself have actually drawn Thor similarly, and I can show you those drawings from my main blog if you want.
Show us the Round Thor
One is a page from my personal grimoire (yes, I'm also a sorcerer in training). Another is a bit of commentary on the already-infamous Capitol Hill riots after seeing the do-called Q Shaman. I did indeed have the idea to draw Thor like an Olympic strongman well before the new God of War was announced.
I love them!
Thor needs to look like he’s the Final Boss in a lumberjack-themed Dark Souls or I don’t respect him.
I love cats so much. I just get them like I understand their language and they teach me important things and I just relate to them a lot
not to sound silly but as someone who works with cats, it’s incredibly easy to understand how different cultures have seen them as sacred in some sense. they’re such beautiful energy based beings.
The story of Loki is basically an immigrant's tale. He comes to a new land, roots himself and makes a good life, contributing to it (the creation of Midgard and humans, the wall, the gifts etc) he gods deeds make him one of them but as soon as he puts a toe out of line he's a foreigner again.
Yup, Loki has always represented the "other", and always will. His story can very well be extrapolated to that of an irl immigrant exactly because of what you said, since they constantly have to "prove themselves" and as much as they do, they are never fully trusted solely on the basis that they came from another land.
The fact that Loki is so obviously an immigrant is also an important reason why he's probably the only figure/of the very few in Norse myth that Naz*s/Wh!te supremac!sts will never get to appropriate, and instead will constantly spew hate against
Some of this is Roman, whether it's from that period or not. Ancient movement of peoples triumphs again!
Wait wait wait. Does this guy with the curly moustache have stitched lips?

This article is breathlessly leaping to conclusions that it refers to Odin. (But Loki = Loptr, lofty, so that’s not necessarily the case.)

Okay, so this looks like a mixture of Elder and Younger (Danish / long-branch) Futhark. I transliterate it to:
s salR aegi
Which per this old norse English dictionary
Vikings of Bjornstad - Old Norse to English Dictionary
translates to
House (or hall) God (or protector, the root word of ON aegis = shield)
…which, IF that’s a part-human-part-bird holding a nut, and those are stitched lips, and that other figure is a snake, and that’s an oath ring around the central figure’s neck, MIGHT be pretty compelling evidence of Loki having a hearth cult that included people of significant wealth.
I am trying not to get too excited until the experts publish their findings on this artefact but this could be a really big deal.
If it is Loki, I will (amongst being happy about this find) once again give him shit for his endlessly absurd mustache.
Feline use of human tools, premeditated plans, and preferential treatment of cohabitants; this cat definitely has the mental capacity of a young child.
If a child is so afraid of getting in trouble that they don't come to their parents when they make a mistake that could possibly put their health or even their life in danger, then those parents have failed.
If something goes wrong, and the first thing that child thinks is, "oh god, my parents are gonna kill me," then the parents have failed.
If a child is afraid of their parents, if the child sees their parents as an active threat instead of a source of safety and guidance, then the parents have failed.
A parents job is to protect, to teach, to guide.
If a parent makes themself a danger to the child, in any capacity, then that parent has failed.
no myth reading of loki that tries to demonize or make him unsympathetic works because for starters i dont care if loki killed 1 guy that everyone loved or snitched on people having affairs or caused ragnarok because the other gods kept messing with his kids and that's already way more unfair like what did Fenrir do to you!! he is literally just growing!!! :/
exactly!!
People in Scandinavian countries still name kids Loki whereas you don’t see a lot of Lucifers on the kindergarten roster.
POINT!
Someone finally said it huh
loki, god of being hot and interesting
hey question! about Odin, and your devotion to him. you always say that he knows all of the secrets of the universe, and those secrets are given to you as part of your worship. why doesn't he give you secrets about like, how GR and QM intersect? are there restrictions, or have you just never asked?
TBH I have never even considered asking about physics theorems, and to be VERY honest even if this was explained to me in exquisite detail I would then have no fucking idea what it was that was being explained and would probably just shrug and go 'y'know, the things pulls on that thing" when trying to explain it, to the vast frustration of my physicist brother.
And just because he knows many secrets doesn't always mean he'll share all of what he knows.
Odin; trying to explain to me, in theorems, exactly how to detect quarks directly.
Me; haha little thing go brrrrrrrr
