Listening to this week: MS MR's Secondhand Rapture

If you don't like pop, you're not going to like this, because it's veritably poptastic, but I personally don't have a problem with that.

I struggle to listen without hearing Hurts, Haim, La Roux.... and even Ace of Base. Listen to 'Think of You' and tell me you can't hear a bit of 90s Euro pop in that!

It's an eclectic record for sure, and it's pop, but not uncomfortably so. If this were a drink, it'd probably be a 7up. Sugary, but with a bit of bite. 

I like it.

This week I’ve been mostly listening to Wild Belle. Santigold meets Vampire Weekend meets Lily Allen meets The Specials. Dancehall pop at its best with a satisfying amount of synth thrown in for good measure. I think the brother and sister duo are bloody great.
