[Oc] ⚡️ Its Ryker's 8th birthday today 🎉 The real ones remember the days where I actually had a comic going with this guy running consistently back in 2020. A lot has changed for both him and me since then. A good amount of the lore from his original concept has been gutted and changed around and the script for the old comic has a lot of those "He wouldnt fucking say that" moments which makes me GLAD not many people are gonna remember it lmao. But for those who do remember his face and that ancient comic, enjoy seeing him again after so goddamn long being stuck with the grey man and his frog. Fission and Vanir may have their grip on me for the time being but Ryker will always have his corner in the room waiting impatiently for his rare turn for attention. I really hope this year I DONT have a few months where even the thought of drawing makes me want to explode. Maybe Ryker will make a true return to help me through 2026 who knows Also enjoy some spoilery lore doodles and old af art of Ryker over the years⚡️

A 19 yr old (Lee) hellbent on wiping out his ex-gang, a naive 17 yr old (Brine) vessel of Pathos, and a fallen god (Pathos) whose anger has flared to a boiling hatred of the two and the world it fell into.

After saving a bounded stranger thrown into the nether, Brine felt a strange fixation latch onto him. Unbeknownst to him, it was Pathos awakening from its slumber who was starved of the pathostic energy given out by another human, and so clung to the output given by the distraught boy.

Soon after the boy left through the portal, Brine felt compelled to follow after him; with Pathos egging him on subconsciously to reap more of the energy that was given off by him and the world at large.

From there, Brine was dragged into an overworld thrown into logistic chaos ever since the “Ethostic Eclipse” in the aethers; when Ethos struck Pathos down to the worlds below and black-listed the head of Logos from any server interaction, solidifying itself as the ultimate ideological power in The Dyst.

Still fixated on the stranger from before, Brine tracked down the boy who was still licking his wounds from what transpired before in a rundown village, and the two would solidify a connection that would change the region- the world- and eventually the server itself.

[Phase 1 CANON]

I didn’t make an audio edit for “you are glass” womp womp Lee and Brine’s relationship in Phase 1 is literally the equivalent of the “it’s so over/we’re so back” meme and it gives me whiplash having to go from the idea of “Lee is mean/bullies/strong arms Brine into enacting his vengeance against those who’ve wrong him” to “Lee grows to care about Brine and duh that’s literally the reason why he goes back to the nether to save Brine during his fight with Strato”.

Lee doesn’t care about Brine, only using him as a weapon -> Lee warms up to Brine -> insert the previous stated meme -> Lee uses Brine to wipe out the last of his gang -> Brine/Pathos snaps and wipes out the entire badlands Uhhh Don’t know how to connect these pieces quite yet and I need a break from the brick wall I keep slamming my head into wall. At least the nether is all planned out!! But seriously though how am i supposed to work ona story in these conditons smh
