Do you know the basic parts of speech? Like if someone asked you if a word was a verb would you know? And/or if someone asked you to define verb or adjective or whatever?
Do you know what Verbs, Nouns, Adjectives, Adverbs, etc. are?
Yes, obviously?
I could maybe but I'd have to think about it
No
I'm only leaving a little nuance in the poll options, if you have more to say put it in the tags or comments
I was doing a mock up in the app IbisPaint X to decide the colors of this Flatwoods Monster pottery piece that I sculpted. I am obsessed with the way the mock up turned out so I'm going to go through the process of how I did it.
It's actually just flat colors, but it doesn't look like it. I love the vibes. It's giving claymation, or like playdoh idk I'm obsessed
My original thought was just to overlay a copy of the photo at a lower opacity and maybe change the layer type but that didn't work. Then I tried the "Clear White (Grayscale)" option on the image which ig filters out the white leaving just a transparent image with only the differences in shade remaining. This worked, but I had to go back and adjust the contrast and brightness of the image and do it again to actually get the effect I wanted
So yeah this simple mock up turned out way better than I expected (because of course I got ADHD tunneled and spent hours on it lol) I only had to draw each thing once and recolor them. Then I could just toggle on and off different layers to make different color options (I made a lot, 60+) also I used clipping masks for the accents on the dress and sleeves.
Also also I had to do some special layers for the eyes (and the 3 dots) because the shading was way to dark to be overtop the yellow. So it doesn't have the same realistic shading effect as the rest but it's whatever
A sketch of poison ivy that I liked and ended up inking and whatnot. (I might do another layer [and maybe shading] on the colored pencils)
Also while I'm here, here's a mock up of painting a tiny harlivy jewelry box (that I definitely don't have the skills to paint this tiny but)
Unedited photo, credits, and some thoughts under the cut
I rendered my drawing of Jynx and Bruxish! My goodness why did I draw this so small, making my life so difficult smh, but overall I'm impressed by how well the coloring came together.
And here's the full page, I drew the rest of this forever ago
I need to go over the inking again darker on these two so it's more clear. I had to do the inking in color because I had to make sure the color on the tiny details were there.
The small size did actually make it much easier to get darker/ more vibrant colors (to the point where the colors are two dark, particularly the purple and blue) Usually it's difficult to build up pigment like this with colored pencils.
Why have I completely forgotten I have a Sideblog for posting my art? I keep posting it on my main blog.
I made pixel art of Princess Peach. First time doing something like this, I love how it turned out. I'm going to add some sorta animation to it as well.
I used the app Sandbox which isn't the best for creating pixel art, but it works.
Doodles I did at work today. In my mind Princess Peach has always been associated with Chain Chomps, I think it's because as a child I saw chain chomps in Peach's garden in mario kart and it established the fact in my head that Peach has pet Chain Chomps. Her snappy puppies!
I drew Princess Peach and Peachette! I love how they turned out!
(I edited the colors on the photo a touch just to make it look more like it does irl, unedited version under the cut)
redraw of The Kiss by Gustav Klimt made for a Spanish assignment. The assignment was to recreate/imitate a famous painting, and I wanted to do one with Poison Ivy so I made this.

I'm curious, in general do we prefer Poison Ivy with Green Skin or Nah?
Is she more plant or more human?
