Adulthood is so weird. Like, one day you're normal. The next you're buying a steam mop and genuinely calling it a "game changer" (in my defense, I have two young dogs). Or consider the carpet cleaner one of your best investments (again, dogs).

There's nothing like being given a simple task and panicking your way into fucking it up to really make you doubt yourself/feel like an incompetent dumbass
I'm so freaking bad at Silksong. I think I've bruised my thumb dying to Moorwing over and iber (and over and over)
Hucklerobby could never happen in cannon simply because if Trinity Santos even got an inkling of an older man in a position of power trying something with one of her friends, she’d materialize behind Robby with a fucking gun
a stupid image i thought of
The dopamine hit from actually finishing a project you starred literal years ago can't be matched by any drug
no, i don’t watch that show, but i do follow its developments extensively via tumblr
Do you ever look at your life and think "wtf? Did I ask for a fucking challenge this time around? What the hell?"
seeing the original script is so frustrating because why did they take this out!!! the first one demonstrates that people other than robby can see the flaws in how long samira takes, which provides at least some sort of basis for robby's frustration with her. it also establishes rapport btwn her and abbot, which would have made him letting her perform a risky procedure during the shooting more significant (and would also add to abbot's style of mentorship being a foil to robby's). and the full line in the second one does soooo much better at framing her speed as an actual problem (being distractible, failing to focus on the actual issue the patient is there for) as opposed to being a side effect of her just being empathetic towards patients. what makes it to the final cut in the show basically just makes it look like robby gets annoyed that samira takes the time to listen to her patients' justified concerns
The biggest issue in the pitt season two is the writers killed their own momentum at every turn and then acted confused when it didn’t work for people (how could it)
Trinity’s a new R2, drowning in work and seeing a new attending come in who she doesn’t like on the same day as Frank’s return to the ER. She’s stressed and overloaded and her position is being threatened and her tone all season is…she’s sleepy. Trinity is tired. Instead of her fighting for her place in the ER like we saw in season one, metaphorically elbowing people as a way of reasserting herself, she sits at a desk and charts. For 75% of the season. It doesn’t go anywhere, nothing happens with it (she makes a mistake and it’s caught and the lecture about it is so mild she doesn’t even stand up). Trinity spends a season designed to push her buttons doing nothing but talk about the characters around her
Robby’s planned a suicide trip that from the opening of the season is already clearly a bad idea. But because of the format of the show, instead of it being a sudden announcement or a reason to talk to him, everyone spends the season wishing him well….because they’ve known about it for weeks. There’s nothing left to discuss. And the audience knows Robby’s not killing himself - it’s an empty threat - so every Robby scene goes the same way: you’re heading out? Ah man that’s so out of character, well have fun and see you later (Robby face of ‘there won’t be a later’). By the time Robby actually said he’s suicidal I rolled my eyes because it had been textually overplayed for thirteen episodes. Robby started at the end of his character arc for the season and was given massive amounts of screentime like he was going to progress somewhere (nope)
I am sick to death of Harry Potter. I want the series to die, not because of JK Rowling's transportation (though let's not forget that) but because I am just so suck and tired of seeing it. The Harry Potter aus in every Fandom, the random think pieces, the articles, the movies that came out for fucking ever, now the reboot, the art thats goddamn everywhere. I can't escape it. Its been fucking years! Just let it die! Its not that good! There are a million series that are a million times better! Just let it die!
i love lucrezia's inconsistencies about alfonso. she didn't want to get married in the first place, but the man that she chose is a gullible boy who reminds her of her own lost innocence. she says that she could love him because he's good, yet every single scene of them is lucrezia trying to change him (she tries to make him break his saint agnes vow and tries to make him more ambitious).
alfonso says that he loves her, but lucrezia doesn't believe it because alfonso doesn't demonstrate it the way cesare does. because no one can love her like cesare can. lucrezia is deeply in love with her brother, so no man will ever compare to cesare. but she understands that she can't marry him, so she tries to settle with alfonso.
she claims to love alfonso, but it is an almost maternal kind of love: she teaches him what she knows about power and survival, and he refuses it as a petulant son would. a love of the soul. not like brother and sister, of course. but still... alfonso is the most beneficial, logical choice of a husband. he doesn't hit lucrezia, doesn't try to control her, and although he is, frankly speaking, an asshole to her (the drinking, not defending her, "you're a borgia", etc) he isn't giovanni. lucrezia knows that she could do much worse, but she also knows that she could do so much better.
she wants to mold alfonso so she can get power. she doesn't want him to die, and she doesn't want to kill him. not because she loves him, but because it would be her fault. she poisons him out of mercy. alfonso is what she could have been if she wasn't a borgia, but she can't escape herself. in a way, alfonso is lucrezia's ursula: he thinks lucrezia is one thing, is deceived by it, finds out the truth, and pays the price. his death ends lucrezia's arc with corruption. her own borgia's stain.
I'll say this for having a broken pipe in your mudroom in winter: as long as it stays below freezing, you can keep the water in, since the ice blocks it. Convenient. Efficient. Both problem and solution in one
crazy how the printer is the only piece of tech that acts up like that almost every day of its life. and we just accept it
Oh.. oh no
So I've fallen down a rabbit hole after the whole Diddy doc thing and I just love how rap is just really aggressive poetry. Like, simile, metaphor, rhyme schemes, allusions - I studied all that in English class. It sounds all big and bad, but it's freaking aggressive poetry and I think thats beautiful. Art is truly everywhere people
