scaredy-cat
When Jeonghan asked Seungcheol if he wanted to stay the night, the eldest was ecstatic. They’d never slept at each other’s house and Seungcheol simply couldn’t wait to sleep in the same bed as his boyfriend. His head was swimming with questions: does Jeonghan snore? Does he sleep talk? Dear god, how cute will he look in the morning?
However, what he had somehow managed to forget is just how much Jeonghan loved his sleep therefore when the younger fell asleep next to him in bed only half-way through their first movie (Seungcheol insisted they watch at least 3) he found himself unsure what to do. He could go to sleep next to Jeonghan but he wanted to treasure this moment with his boyfriend looking so gorgeous next to him with his gorgeous black hair spread over the pillow and his soft lips slightly parted...
BANG! Suddenly Seungcheol was snapped out of his thoughts. ‘What the hell was that?’ he thought to himself. He looked over at his boyfriend and, of course, he was still fast asleep. ‘It’s probably nothing,’ he decided ‘just a noise outside’. However, he then began to hear a different noise from downstairs, eerily like footsteps. Feeling his heart race he sat up and began to look around the room and cursed himself for not asking Jeonghan to turn on a light. The noise had stopped and Seungcheol lay back down in an attempt to go to sleep, but he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and with shaking hands he decided to attempt to wake his boyfriend up.
“Wake up.” he whispered, lightly nudging Jeonghan but to no avail. Seungcheol groaned; Jeonghan really slept like a bear in hibernation.
“Jeonghan!” he hissed, shaking him with a bit more force. “Please wake up.”
Groaning, Jeonghan woke up. He looked around the room and squinted; why was he awake? Then he looked over at his boyfriend and saw the look of sheer panic on his face.
“Cheolie? What’s wrong?” he asked gently.
Seungcheol tried to keep his resolve but could feel his lower lip wobbling. Cursing himself for being such a coward, he whined “I heard a noise downstairs and it scared me.”
Jeonghan let out a little laugh and pulled the older closer to him.
“You’re just a big scaredy-cat you know that?”. The only response he received was a hurt glare and a pout from his boyfriend. Grinning at how adorable Seungcheol was, Jeonghan kissed his cheek and cooed “I’m sorry, sweetheart. Would you like to go have a look together?”. He couldn’t see the other man’s reaction from where he had his face buried in his chest but he could see his slight head nod.
“Okay, let’s go.”
Creeping downstairs, Jeonghan couldn’t help but laugh as his boyfriend hid behind him and clung to his pyjama shirt. Once they reached the kitchen, however, they were surprised to see there was nothing there except the fruit bowl that had been placed on the table was now on the floor. A small meow could be heard behind them and they turned to see Jeonghan’s little tabby cat staring at them with innocent eyes.
Seungcheol looked at Jeonghan for a minute before grumbling “I hate your cat.” and stomping back off to bed, leaving Jeonghan laughing in the kitchen.
