oh god but ok, Badd/Kay waking up early to make father's day breakfast for Byrne, and Kay insists they make double everything and Badd's like "??" but okay, and then when they actually wake up Byrne Kay reveals that the reason she made double is so Badd can have some too, and then she hands them both drawings she did, one for each of them
{Ohhhmy god. This is canon. This happened. 100% happened. I love this family.}

*Letter painstakingly received from Nahyuta, currently away at law school and not yet discovered/turned on the Dragons* "Did you know that America has a holiday called Father's Day this Sunday? Would that Apollo and I were able to celebrate it with you."
Dhurke takes the letter and, like all of those which Nahyuta sends him, tucks it away into a folder for safekeeping. He always needs to be ready to run, and so things of importance need to be all in one place.Â
Then he sits down, and begins to pen a reply.
âI wish you were both here, as well. But even if you are far away from me, you are my sons, and I love you each with everything I am.â
Miles has to take his glasses off completely mid-speech due to how much they're fogging. Gathered tears struggle to fall but he's holding them back. "Well-said. I... suppose it's my turn then, isn't it?" - prodigyxprosecutor
Ray shrugs again; he seems to constantly be shrugging sometimes.
âHey, I dunno about you but Uncle Rayâs got nowhere to be. If you donât know what you wanna say, take your time. Weâve got all day.â
*kay voice* "Happy father's day, Uncle /Dadd/"
ââŠThanks, Kay.â
No, heâs not tearing up, whatâre you talking about?
alaric,,, u get nothing. :I and i hope u know ur daughter sent a father's day card to dogen.
âIf she chooses to make friends with someone who might murder her one day, thatâs got nothing to do with me.â
can I get a story about baby Miles from Greg for Father's Day?
âThe circumstances of how I came to be a single parent are complicated and not something I feel comfortable discussing right now, but I was certainly not at all prepared to be raising a child when I was twenty six. The first few months of Milesâ life were tiring and stressful in more ways than I knew were possible at the time. Do not take this to mean that I ever did not love my son, because I did from the moment he was born. But being a parent isnât something I believe you can ever truly be prepared for.
âMiles was often sick as a baby; he was very susceptible to ear infections and at one point had five within the span of a month. I⊠will admit that I was in over my head. I was constantly worrying about him, and if I slept at all during these times it was in the chair next to his crib. I needed to be there the moment he woke up, to make sure nothing was wrong.
âHe was four months old, going on five months, when he had all of those ear infections in a row. Despite having just gotten a clean bill of health from the doctor, I was worried and again chose to sleep next to his crib. I was exhausted from endless worry and lack of sleep, but in the morning when I picked him up out of his crib, he smiled and laughed. He had never laughed before, and I nearly dropped him in surprise. The look on my face must have amused him, because he kept laughing, and then I was laughing, too.
âI do not pretend that I was a perfect parent, but I can confidently say that I did the best that I could for Miles while I had him.â
Happy father's day to Badd and Byrne both. I know you're ""Uncle"" Badd but you raised this kid too, buddy boy
âI definitely consider⊠Kay to be⊠like a daughterâŠâ
âDonât me modest, Tyrell; she is your daughter.â
âNot⊠legallyâŠâ
âYou helped raise her. You were listed as an emergency contact at her school. She made us both presents for Fathers Day when she was little. Donât sell yourself short, Tyrell, she loves you.â

Miles sets a bouquet at his father's grave. He stays kneeling there, and heaves a heavy sigh. Pushes up his glasses. It takes him a long time to stand up again, and then he says to Ray, "I'll let you speak first, if you have anything to say." - prodigyxprosecutor
Ray watches with a little smile, patient and understanding. This was never a good day of the year for Miles; not as bad as Christmas could be, but still not great. He watches Miles push up his glasses, which impossibly make him look even more like his father, and shrugs when he speaks.
âHah, would you believe Uncle Ray if he said he had a bit of stage fright?â he jokes. Itâs not very funny.
âHm. Well, hey there, Gregory. Been a while since weâve talked, but things have been pretty busy. Still, I made sure to bring Miles; couldnât have him missing on today of all days, right?â
He pauses.  ââŠI still miss you. Thatâs not something that changes, I guess. But Miles is doing some amazing things. I know youâd be proud of him.â
Happy father's day to Jinxie's dad in particular
â...Thank you.â
âDaddy! Papa!â It doesn't matter how old she gets, Summer is always going to dash toward her fathers and hug them both as tightly as she can. âMmm, happy father's day!â
Ether and Orion, quite used to their daughterâs very tight and very loving hugs, squished her between the two of them to make a Summer Sandwich like they had when she and Winter were little.
âThanks, sweetheart,â Orion was the first to say.
Ether kissed her forehead; ever since he had (many years ago) upgraded from Dog Dad to Dad of Actual Children, he took Fatherâs Day in even more stride.  âSo,â he teased, âwhatâd you get us?â
there's a letter in braille sent to the main prison, addressed to none other than Dogen, alongside a small gift. the letter reads: 'I hope this letter finds you well, and I apologize for not coming in person! I'd like to wish you a happy father's day, and to thank you for your companionship. I sent some treats for Anubis, as well, so he won't feel left out. Have a wonderful day! Signed, Ada Lovell.'
âThat was very kind of Miss Lovell, wasnât it, Anubis?â He scratched the dogâs cheek, then giving him one of the delivered treats.
âWhat a strange girlâŠâ
