Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon contains an unused cutscene in its files depicting Luigi obtaining a object resembling a glowing asterisk (unique to this cutscene) and then falling into the abyss.

Top: Luigi picks up the object and celebrates before noticing the ground is shaking and turning around.

Bottom: Luigi falls down, but due to the cutscene being unfinished, stops in mid-air during his fall as the camera zooms out.

The nature of the asterisk item remains unknown.
