Creatures of all types have been going hungry beneath the snow blanketing the territories. Cats struggle to bring home enough food for their clans. Predators have been pushing into clan territory in their hunt for a meal and not every cat who encounters one has been fortunate enough to walk away whole - if they walk away at all. Tensions rise along the borders as hunger gnaws at empty bellies. Those old enough to remember the famine leading up to the war are on edge, praying the clans have learned from their mistakes. Illness has begun to creep among the cats, suggesting leafbare isn't done with the clans yet.
