I can channel all my sexual energy into knitting. How do you think I made it through high school?

I just have my own standards and in my funny little way I try to live up to them. The best I can, anyway.

Transportation at its core is about mobility and access. Patterns of growth and activity for people and goods across America are fundamentally driven by how well the transportation system delivers mobility and access.
The Transportation Planning Process Briefing Book, produced by the Federal Highway Administration
I just graduated college, so I end up answering these questions, a lot. And usually in this order:
1) What did you major in?
Economics and Political Science.
2) Well, what are you going to do with that?
For now, get a job and take a little time off school. Eventually, I want to go to graduate school to become a transportation planner.
3) That’s cool. Now, what is that exactly?
This. This is the best answer I have heard. I seriously need to memorize this quote.
There is the fact that I could talk about public transportation networks and traffic calming tools ad nauseam. I actually do talk about it a little more than what may be socially acceptable. In fact, that’s probably why I haven’t gone on a date in over a year. But it’s something I enjoy and something I am passionate about. Even if it is a little weird.
And yes, my recreational reading does include The Transportation Planning Process Briefing Book, produced by the Federal Highway Administration. But what are you doing with your Tuesday night?
My Hands
I love my hands best when they are covered in paint, and smudged with ink. When they are dyed with wood stain, and written on, and just a little callused and scratched up.
I went to this coffee shop that had a message board in the women’s restroom where people could post anything, really. There were quotes, and observations, and doodles.
And there was this. This one reached out and grabbed me; and consequently, I sort of made it mine.
I have no clue who drew this, but I love this either way.
And to share it with the world.
Fallen Tree
I am that fallen tree in the middle of an absent forest, broadcasting Schrödinger's verdict to a silent abyss.
Some little things from my sketchbook. I have an inkling I really like inks...
It looks like Mr. Dummy went on a little field trip downtown. I hope he had fun.
I am having so much fun with water colors and India ink. I'm still figuring out how to use them. But I'm having fun.
I am so not an artist, but I still have fun messing with different mediums. So don't mind if I do...
