Louis going from son & brother to head of household. Sitting at the end of the table, opposite of Florence, where their father sat. Now his mother’s husband, father to his siblings. Louis having to shed his former familial role and don a new one to keep them afloat.

How I miss the sound of a bustling family all in one space. I’d do anything to hear even Paul’s incessant proselytizing over the creak of a sterile penthouse left empty, or spousal arguing over the faint thrum of a city I cannot see.

The walls are closing in on me. The sun’s lure is cast out, and nothing but self-restraint is keeping me away.

Stumbled upon a new term— andehonia: apathy for things which once brought you joy. A constant haze over the mind and body. The inability to feel every experience that drives a functional human (or adjacent) to continue on their wretched existence.

Started rewatching season 2 while painting this and damn I love Louis so much! I know I draw mostly Daniel, Armand, and dm, but truly Louis is one of my favorites. Jacob Anderson is such an incredible actor, and he is the heart and soul of this whole shebang. So anyways here’s a little vignette of the beautiful, powerful, Louis ‘I own the night’ De Pointe Du Lac.

Also make their nails longer next season, you cowards.
