I should probably make an intro post.

Hello! I'm Leo/Lea, an amateur artist, aspiring 3D modeller, and a Nerd. I go by they/them.

I'm mainly interested in Social Justice, Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Warhammer, Hazbin Hotel, Cookie Room Kingdom, Adventure Time, His Dark Materials, The Traitors (the UK one), and DC Comics, but which one I'm interested in changes over time.

OCs that I post are mainly for a comic/show/something I want to make called Isle of Styx and Bones. It would effectively be a personal manifesto in the vein of An Inspector Calls, which uses the concept of an afterlife as a metaphor for capitalism. Most others, especially any Object Heads, are for my other comic idea, Modern Gods, which would focus on how the gods of the modern day adapt to living on earth after having all fallen from their "battleground". Superheroes I post are for a separate idea which is much less fleshed out.

No DNIs as they don't really work and I am very stubborn with my beliefs, but I wouldn't recommend this blog if you are on the political right, have any sort of negative feelings towards queer or coloured people as a group, or are a tankie, transandrophobe/transmisogynist, genocide defender (this includes Israel but also places like China), or otherwise a bigot.

Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*

This is exactly why "separating the art from the artist" doesn't work here. Supporting the franchise directly funds actions like this. Read the archived report, save it, and share it.

We must fully disengage from her work to choke out both her financial backing and the cultural relevance that invites new eyes to her platform.

Speaking as a lifelong fan, this is a necessary sacrifice.

If you go to a public event knowing people are going to be there with cameras ready to record and take pictures of you and others, and you still choose to wear revealing fishnets while doing nothing to prevent accidently underskirt pictures (like avoiding crossing your legs), then you can't really be mad when someone takes a picture of you in your fishnets.

1) Moving goalposts. First it's "upskirting isn't sexual assault", now it's "well maybe upskirting is sexual assault, but its her fault that out happened!"

2) She was crossing her legs. It's still upskirting.

3) "Its women's fault if they get upskirted, they should have dressed more modestly" is a weird hill to die on, especially for someone who's complaining about bots sexually harassing people.

What the fuck.

Then again, you do downplay a genocide (potato famine) in one of your other posts, so maybe this does align with your worldview. Either way, you do not seem pleasant to debate on closer inspection, so I'm not going to respond to you after this.

The thing about the "trans women are capable of harm" type posts and blogs like transmascvoicesproject is that on a daily basis trans women are told that we are predators, that we are violent, that we have the rape organ, that we solely exist for fetishistic reasons and that makes us dangerous to be around. Society never lets us forget this. Cinema never lets us forget this. Terfs never let us forget this. Political parties on either side of the spectrum never let us forget this. These people post like they live in a world where trans women/transfeminine people are shielded from the consequences of our actions by our identities, but that's a fantasy. We are not only held accountable for our actions, but responses to our mistakes and transgressions are often extremely worse than that of other people. Not to mention, a lot of trans women are lied about, marked rapist/pedophile/abusive by an abusive, transphobic ex, and then isolated and removed from friends groups for the crime of coming out as trans. This is so, so, so common.

We do not need you to remind us we are capable of harm, trust me when I say we fucking know.
