What animals would Mr.Men characters be?? Like by exemple:
Mr. Tickle = Rat or a bear
OOOH i think about this a lot actually. sorry for the very late response, been working on this on/off for a while!
i associate more than one animal with some of them so heres just some stuff from the top of my head:
Mr. Strong- Bull or Clydesdale Horse - I mean, he's strong, he's reliable, and he's humble. I feel a large, domestic herbivore known for their strength suits him well.
Mr. Noisy - Coyote or Tiger - Both animals are relatively noisy and loud. Fun fact; the lion roars you hear in movies? Those actually belong to tigers. Do some digging on it, it's really fascinating to learn about!
Mr. Rude - Donkey, Warthog or Skunk - Either the animal who shares the name of a rear end (totally flattering), an animal known for its foul oder, or an animal known for its spray. Pick your poison, he's not going to be pleasant either way.
Miss Scary - Vampire Bat, Tarantula, or Adder - I mean, c'mon! Her entire motif is being the scariest little miss in Dillydale, and she takes it in stride!
Mr. Tickle - Red Fox - Orange, playful, and mischievous? How could I not make him a fox?
Miss Calamity - White-Tail Deer - Miss Calamity is very deer-like to me in a way I can't necessarily explain. She just radiates deer energy.
Miss Magic - Scottish Red Deer - Now, I was going to make her a dove or a rabbit, but then I realize that I headcanon her and Miss Calamity to be cousins. Figured making her a deer as well would work!
Miss Curious - Meerkat - A cat or a fox would be a good alternative for her, but also consider this; Meerkats are naturally very curious and inquisitive animals! I think she'd be a cute meerkat!
Mr. Small - Mouse - Didn't want to go too cliche, but I couldn't really think of anything better, y'know?
Mr. Happy - Bear or Labrador Retriever - There's enough lovable bears in media to justify Mr. Happy being a bear as well. However, Golden Labs are just as suitable of an animal for him.
Miss Sunshine - Lop-eared Rabbit or Golden Retriever - Leaning more towards the latter, considering she's a very excitable and friendly person. However, I think she'd be just as cute as a lop-eared bunny!
Mr. Bounce - Wallaby or Jerboa - I know, I know, kangaroos were right there. However, I see Mr. Bounce as one of the shorter Mr. Men, and I think being a small animal known for hopping works for him.
Miss Daredevil - Lion - I feel it suits her well enough! Lions are known for being courageous animals, so why not?
Mr. Nosey - Grizzly Bear - Because Mr. Small is going to be a smaller animal, why not make Mr. Nosey a bigger animal? I sometimes think about how nosey bears can be when they smell a conveniently delicious picnic at the parks- [FALLS DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS]
Mr. Lazy - Sloth, Snail, or Sea Turtle - Leaning towards Sloth, as I'm mainly associating these characters with either mammals or birds. I feel they both work for Mr. Lazy, though.
Mr. Fussy - Owl, Penguin, or Chinchilla - Leaning towards the Chinchilla, since they're known for keeping themselves very clean. Owl or Penguin works too, especially since they look very distinguished.
Mr. Funny - Sea lion - People tend to associate sea lions with honking horns and generally being entertaining animals. Why not, y'know?
Mr. Quiet - Northern Pudú - Initially I was going to go for a mouse, but considering that the Pudú is also quiet and little, I figured it'd suit him.
Mr. Bump - Calico Cat - Think of it; the irony that the character with the worst luck in the show is an animal usually associated with good luck! (also this may stray into hc territory because i like the idea of mr bump having red hair ngl)
Miss Whoops - Tuxedo Cat - If Mr. Bump's a cat, Miss Whoops is too. Tuxedo cats are also sometimes associated with good luck, and again, the irony speaks for itself.
Mr. Grumpy - Black Bear or Black Labrador Retriever - Mr. Grumpy always read to be very bear-like to me, as I always saw bears as nature's biggest fishers. However, I think him being a black lab works as well, considering that they're bred for helping fishermen in Newfoundland.
Miss Giggles - Common Degu - Honestly, I didn't want to make her a hyena. Sure, they're known for their laughs, but you know what else is? The Degu. Not a very well known animals, but they've got some very cute laughs if you watch this video.
Mr. Tall - Giraffe or Great Blue Heron - Not much else to say here. Just one of the tallest mammals or birds here.
Miss Bossy - Chihuahua - Not much else to say. Just the irony of the most authoritative and vocal characters being a tiny breed is really funny to me.
Miss Naughty - Standard Poodle - Very elegant and graceful breed of dog; perfect to give a false sense of security to others when the time is right. (plus, curly coats!!! fitting for the pigtails)
Mr. Nervous - Rabbit or Hare - Nervous, flighty animal that fleas at the sight of potential danger? Pure lagomorph material there.
Mr. Stubborn - Gray Wolf - I mean, c'mon, he was a werewolf one episode. That should cement it for you.
Miss Helpful - Beaver - Other than humans, beavers manipulate their environment the most. While most of the time it's beneficial, other times it may be to a fault... At least in Miss Helpful's case.
Miss Chatterbox - Parrot or Canary - Miss Chatterbox would definitely be a bird that can at least say a few human words, no question here.
Mr. Messy - Angora Goat - Didn't want to go for a raccoon or a possum yet, and I know that goats aren't particularly picky eaters either. There's a breed of goat called the angora goat that has a very curly coat, & I think that fits Mr. Messy pretty well!
Mr. Scatterbrain - Platypus or Flamingo - I feel the platypus is one of the most eccentric animals you can pick for an eccentric character. Not much else to say, it just felt right. Alternatively, a flamingo would be VERY fun.
Those are my personal takes, but if anyone else has any idea on what animals they think the Mr. Men & Little Miss characters would be, comment on this post! I'd be interested in hearing your opinions.
