Okay, so i noticed this and i want say my piece of it..

Can we stop justifying Necrozma's actions???

Like??

I saw one person say the people of UM "had it coming", basically punishing millions of innocent lives for the actions of a few.

And these comments..

"its so strange to me necrozma was painted to be so evil despite it being injured badly and seeking justice for it, its almost like Pokémon has been trying to say wild animals who act out of the circumstances theyre in arent evil or something (mewtwo, giratina, etc)"

"i don't think necrozma can entirely be blamed for what it caused. if i was a godlike creature providing light to everything and my only interaction with the things i had gifted light to was being captured and drained of almost all the power i had, including the power to give that light? yeah i wouldn't think twice about taking it all back."

"I honestly wouldn't blame it at all, cause it's not like it is going around taking light to kill people. That's not the point of what it is doing, not the reason for anything it's done. Would you blame a dog for biting you after you kicked it? Would you blame a god of light for taking all the light away after you tried to steal it?"

Yeah, its in pain, but its still draining light from other worlds, essentially being a light parasite.

Like, yeah, what the ancestors of the Ultra Recon Squad did to it was wrong, it doesn't mean it is okay to endanger MILLIONS of lives.

By these people's logic, does that mean it is okay for Malware(Ben 10) to kill off all of Galvan B???

Is it okay for Shriek(from Ori and the Will of the Wisps) to kill Ku and do all those bad things?

Is it okay for villains who were hurt to commit GENOCIDE??

Like, understandable doesn't mean justifiable.

Very mean thing about Hellaverse. I hate it with all my heart, God it is "Potential Man" as a show.

Part 1.

Character, Design, and "Why?"

The characters all share a very same-y pallet, their silhouettes simply do not matter because arguably they're only recognizable off *pose*, with very little interesting variants in shape.

Nearly every character with a body shape is skinny, FAR too skinny. Of course this is maybe an esthetic choice. But... The main characters, if not all of them were designed BEFORE Hazbin was a fleshed out idea.

There's very little reason. When you design a character, you want them to have a reason for many parts of design. Even body shape.

My suggestion for why Hell is so skinny is because...People are greedy, scum of the earth with wickedness. Nobody wants to share, and there is a massive lack of food. Even the non-humanoids are stuck scrambling for scraps, anyone remember that couch guy?

But this is only a headcanon, and it isn't at ALL true.

Part 2.

Rules, Hierarchy, and how stupid it is.

Hell has a hierarchy

Make it CONSISTENT, writers! Moxxie's dad, Fizzaroli and the fire guy I forgot to care about, etc. The sinners themselves should be in more layers than one, really. The thing about Hazbin Hotel AND Helluva is their lack of focus, attention, and consistency.

(Cough, the SA joke.)

Speaking of...The relationships feel forced, they have less of a found family or a "Us Vs Them" feeling and more of a disgruntled relationship slowly breaking apart but everyone is pretending its A-OK.

Especially with Blitz and Stolas, alongside Vaggie and Charlie. They feel mashed.

Speaking of Stolitz... Why is Fizzaroli fine, but not Blitz? Is it because they're in the lust layer and therefore it's seen as a kink thing?

Part 3.

Literally ZERO Self-awareness Or Care.

I hate the storytelling. So much.

You will get it told directly to you or be unable to make an interpretation and reveal. There is no environmental storytelling (the pilot of Hazbin Hotel UNIRONICALLY had better, the ending of the Extermination and whatnot.)

The Angels are purely evil, Heaven is just a nicer hell. (This sucks for anyone even remotely interested in Religion.) Which. Could have been good, but the idea falls flat simply because there is NO build-up.

The cussing and Adam himself...

Adam deserved so much better. Seriously.

An angelic bad guy? That could've been so cool, maybe he could have been dismissive and say "This is a great idea, Charlie... But--"

And note the pure scum of Hell, you know the ones. The sad thing too is that there is SO MUCH missed potential.

Also, I wanna go on a small tangent.

The way they fight the angels suck. Literally no losses outside of one character who's death was treated like a joke, (which, i like by the way. It showed that Adam is powerful and could have even implied how great of a inventor Pret was) and that BARELY counts as a loss considering he gets put in Heaven.

A gripe about Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss.

Personally, the environmental showing of Hell in both shows is... Lacking. It shows little care by the writers, whoever is writing it at that point.

Even Guts and Blackpowder, a zombie game on Roblox of all things, has better environmental storytelling solely BECAUSE it has those little moments, every map beginning or even NPCs talking, it shows a lot of character from the unnamed random.

Ultrakill, also set in Hell has a better environmental storytelling. With the Earthmover at the end of 7-4 being trapped by the vines in 7-3, it is so simple, the Limbo layer and Fraud Layers being arguably the best at this storytelling.

..Hazbin, does not. It is just "Earth with no laws."

Speaking of, does Hell speak in a unifed language or what? A small nitpick, I know.

I'm saying this because...None of these guys act like how I imagine an adult, trapped for ETERNITY in HELL would act. Especially Nifty, isn't she Japanese and from the 50s to 90s? Like, Hiroshima and Nagsaki.

With the Imps and Hellhounds, thats fine. They can be the gremlin of the day, whatever. But everyone else is... Odd or subversive of their expected personality in a bad way. (I.e Stolas, Lucifer, the 7 Deadly Sins).

I think as a collective, many people do this and not realize the people who are behind the work are more than just the creator.

Toby Fox, Gaben and Robin Walker to some extent, and Hakita.

It's common, especially within those communities.

Where else did the misconception of "Toby did Undertale's sprites" come from anyway.

Deltarune Fans and Professional Glaze.

Now let me be clear... I love Deltarune and everything it brings to the table, but I feel like nearly every fan of it will REFUSE to take criticism or acknowledge there are /visible/ flaws. I, myself, cannot make many of these flaws but I can admit there are many more out there who can make actual criticisms of Deltarune.

Mainly the humor, that and some of the pacing is a bit slow or a little tedious to get through, all that could just be from me preferring "faster games". All though I doubt. If I should add more, I think Deltarune fans go way over their heads about theories and things like that. While I am not against it... Papyrus Knight? C'mon, man... Oh and-- The subversions. I think people think Toby is subverting things with the other two protagonists (Susie and Ralsei), alongside Noelle-- A little TOO glazed? (I'm using glaze as a substitute because I cannot word what I mean for the life of me.) I'm not saying I don't appreciate it... But at some level you gotta be like, "Eh?"

Maybe it's simply because it's an RPG, so maybe I just haven't gotten it yet.

A little "glaze" about DEAD SPACE.

Something I appreciate a lot about Dead Space is simply how creative it is--Both in gameplay and in lore.

In the DEAD SPACE trilogy, primarily DS2 and DS (2008-2021) You play as Issac Clarke in every game, blah blah blah. But unlike most space video games, you're not someone with military experience. You're just some guy at the end of the day.

Issac is an engineer.

And an engineer needs tools. Your weapons are SPECIFICALLY made to cut through things or be used as a tool. Outside of the Pulse Rifle and very few others, but that is only because it's an actual gun. When I realized this fact, I started to go in deeper with Dead Space's monster designs, the Marker is VERY intelligent. Arguably, it could be described as living in its own sense.

My favorite part of DEAD SPACE is simply how alone you are. You aren't always alone in this game, but for a good majority of it. There is very little dialog with Issac talking to himself if at all--And what I mean is...Speaking about how crazy any of it is or how insane it is.

In a weird sense, he's gone numb after everything but he's still sticking to his plan. This is even further enhanced by the fact Issac literally continues the sequel directly from the first game. He's gotten the rest, but he's just been waking up in and out.

In the movies, (yes there are movies, no there is no third film shut up), there's almost always a constant feeling of something being there AFTER the set up or something about to happen. It is always there for tension, always something to spark an action or feeling. Ironically, within those films (i highly recommend any and all Dead Space fans like myself to watch, you can ask me for where to find them since i dont wanna risk it) there's a comment about how empty the universe is. Face it. We're alone.
