The "humans" in MINDHACK are so intresting to me because clearly multiple distinct species developed into a group society and "human" is the vauge expression of personhood (?) Like, Unid and Captain are obviously not the same kind of creature. Is there cross-species reproduction? Is there physical qualities certain creatures have above others? is someone like Vet Guard less inherently capable than Experienced Guard because he's a stick-figure?. On the topic of Vet, he literally wears no pants, and has no external organs. Does that imply they're just internal or are some creatures just without anything. Maybe they ALL are sexless, and pants is just a dress code option. The "human" kind consists of multiple different fully androgynous creatures who spawn clones randomly!

Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if “twelve” followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldn’t be “twoteen” it would be “seconteen”. Think about it. It’s not “threeteen” it’s “thirteen” as in “third”. It’s not “fiveteen” it’s “fifteen” as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count “first, second, third, fourth, fifth,” and so on, so eleven would be “firsteen” and twelve would be “secondteen” or “seconteen”. “Firsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen….” It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.
