Thank you Chris and Darren for Kurt and Blaine ♥
I’m getting really emotional about Klaine tonight because of Paley and Glee ending and I just…. Klaine literally changed TV. It was part of a global, worldwide change. Before Glee, how many teen, gay couples on primetime television were treated seriously and were popular with the audience? Practically none. Now how many are there?? I can’t even count all of them. And Klaine was the start. They were honestly, truly, the start of this worldwide shift. No gay couple, maybe not even a straight couple, received such an outpouring of love and devotion and passion, and yeah, even hate, from the general audience, from the online fandoms, from the media. They were literally one of the major starts of this now worldwide trend.
And the fact that this stupid poll has caused so much hate, and so much backlash towards us and the couple by other fandoms, and even people in our own Glee fandom. Why? None of those couples, out of all the 64 included in the poll, can say they’ve had the impact and the importance, and the relevance that Klaine has had over the last 5 years. None of them. And the fact that people are so bitter because of it, is honestly laughable. When you sit back and think about just how big of an impact Klaine has had…… all of that hate seems so insignificant in the big picture. Klaine won’t be remembered by the amount of hate it got by bitter people. It’ll be remembered for the groundbreaking, loving, and real couple that it was and always will be. Kurt and Blaine will be remembered for their part in changing the television industry and the entertainment industry and the fandom structure as we know it.
So go ahead, call us all pathetic, call us naive, call us immature, leave hate in our tags, vote against us in polls, harass us and mock us and spend all your free time talking about how we are The Worst.
Because we’re the ones who got to witness the overwhelming impact of this couple. And we’re the ones who got to enjoy, and love, and devote our time and passions into immersing ourselves in something so positive and so good.
In the end, who are the real winners?
glee retrospective → glee changes the world in nine seconds
“Then [Blaine] planted The Kiss. Nine long seconds. You can hate on Glee, but just knowing that millions of conservative parents were gasping in horror as their children were squealing with delight right next to them gave us some kind of hope for the future.”
I love and appreciate your passion for Klaine, but it's so silly to act like Klaine is going to go down in the television record books, when Glee itself in the grand scheme of film and television is excruciatingly irrelevant, and isn't doing the industry any favors. Sorry, but until Glee is as popular as shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, which have more viewers and both of which have homosexual relationships, Klaine won't go down in the TV records at all. Ever.
I have a feeling you don’t actually love and appreciate my passion for Klaine. and if you do, what an odd way to show it.
you know, you might want to give this video a watch.
you’re talking about a couple whose first kiss was a highly controversial topic in the news, for pete’s sake. their first kiss and just their first kiss and initial friendship sparked a debate about lgbtqia issues and representation in the media. people argued about whether or not this was appropriate for television and oh god, was it appropriate for the children? there were gay characters and gay relationships prior to them, but most of them did not have the audience Klaine had. characters before them opened doors; Klaine pushed that door wide open. there weren’t many gay characters in the media who weren’t promiscuous. Klaine changed that. they’re two monogamous, committed teenagers. and so now, you see a number of other influential gay characters in steady relationships (a representation that was missing in the media!) who pave the road Klaine began to build.
you’re thinking about Glee present tense. what about Glee past tense? everybody knows what Glee is, my friend. they may not watch it or like it, but they know it. why? it had presence, and in its inception, it had an impact. it meant something. Klaine is part of that impact.
Klaine is in textbooks. Chris and Darren themselves are also featured in many textbooks. you think that’s not television record book worthy? they’re the faces of representation in history and sociology courses. whether or not you think Glee is irrelevant doesn’t in any way say anything about Klaine. they go beyond that show. and in present tense, they may not receive as much attention as before, but in their prime, they were the face of incredibly underrepresented group of people in the media. if you don’t think that matters, if you don’t think that kind of stuff is remembered in TV land, I don’t know where you’ve been.

Darren Criss, musician, composer and actor, currently stars as Blaine Anderson on Fox’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award‐winning series Glee. He made his Broadway debut in January of 2012 as J. Pierrepont Finch in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. With Criss at the helm, the revival made just over $4 million, which proved to be the most lucrative three weeks of its 11-month run. Prior to his rise to stardom, the San Francisco-native pursued a BFA in Acting at the University of Michigan. In his senior year, he and his friends created what would become the viral YouTube hit, A Very Potter Musical. With that same group, Criss and his writing partners founded the now Chicago-based theater company, StarKid Productions, whose works have spurred multiple Billboard charting cast albums, and sold-out national tours. Their original show, Starship debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Cast Album, for which Criss composed and penned the lyrics. His additional film, TV and stage credits include Girl Most Likely opposite Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening, The Wind Rises with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Web Therapy, ABC’s Backstage with Disney on Broadway, Michael Feinstein’s New Year’s Eve Special on PBS as well as hosting duties for the NewNowNext Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

Talentless Darren Criss writes the final song for glee, nbd
Darren/Blaine Haters: Darren is gonna flop when Glee is over! He has no talent! Everyone outside his fandom hates him!
Darren: *books a broadway show literally the second Glee is over*
there is literally nothing worse than being an active resident of the lol blarren tag. it’s like everything they wish for or think about Darren gets a comedy anvil sized opposite dropped on them.
who is this idiot, he’s not white and buffed he won’t last three episodes he’s not good enough for Kurt
ugh the song was only popular because he sang it to Kurt, no one’s going to want him to sing again
his singing is awful, not like heather (I’m sorry no offense to Heather as a person but I’m still crying over that being a legit comparison)
watch him bomb on broadway
anyone can do a short run on broadway I did one once you just never saw it
his tour will never sell tickets
yeah but his family bought all those tickets I bet the venue was half empty every night
the gay community only likes him because he works with chris
he’ll never have a career after glee
no one on Flash wants him shut up blarren stans
firesnaps replied to your post “I need refuge from the shitstorm Kurtsies are throwing over Santana…”
Also where were these people when the show forced Chord Overstreet to wear a shirt that said Trouty Mouth. Or how Santana constantly insults Rachel’s nose/eyebrows/singing face. Or her...
I need refuge from the shitstorm Kurtsies are throwing over Santana insulting Kurt (and therefore Chris') teeth. **Cuz personal attacks on physical characteristics are unheard of on glee.** Except Blaine was called a Terrorist last week when he had "Darren" hair. But ignore the underlying racism in that, because NOT KURT/CHRIS!!!
There was a whole episode dedicated to calling Darren fat. He’s had insults about his hair, his singing face, his voice, everything. They’ve also made outright racist insults. Remember “How do we know Blaine was really born in America?”
But hey, I guess it’s only Chris who’s a sensitive little flower right? Chris, who agreed to film that scene. Chris, who at any time could have said he wasn’t okay with that line and had it removed from the script because he’s RIB’s golden boy. Chris, who clearly played Kurt as annoyed rather than upset in that scene. His expression barely changes from ‘oh god, here we go.”
Kurtsies need to go the hell away, they’re obnoxious as shit over a guy who has average attractiveness at best.
how Klaine has been winning polls and getting the most recognition out of any glee couple since 2010. i think the people have spoken about who their favorite glee couple is.
Jane Lynch said Klaine were a cute couple and that she didn’t want them to break up I guess she is a straight girl in disguise with 12 years old who hates Kurt.
Oh n nO. RIB.... Make fun o fm e?? I so sad. Guess I'll have to cry over all my Klaine wedding photos 😢
If you have the balls to talk shit on me and my fandom and call us horrible, disgusting things, at least have the decency to back up your shit when you get called out. You're an underhanded coward and it's pathetic :)
