Halloween Howl

Today was the Halloween Howl Dog Costume Contest at Carl Schurz Park (aka my stomping grounds). Even though we didn't participate in the contest (laaame), I got dressed up as everyone's favorite arctic critter, the penguin!!

There was an enormous turnout, which is reason #4657 that the Upper East Side rules!!

So many cute costumes! Like these German doggies!

And clever costumes, like this 50 shades of grey!

And let's not forget this little boo look-alike with a spooktastic ride.

This sailor dog duo almost makes me wish I had a brother or sister so we could do group costumes for Halloween...

I wasn't really feelin' the costume at first, but after I saw how happy it made the humans (especially my mom), I quickly got on board :).

Can't wait for ACTUAL halloween now!

Daddy's home! He picked me up from my grandma's house yesterday and we've been nonstop snuggling ever since. Just a few days 'til Mommy gets back now too!

I'm being boarded at the vet right now cause mom and dad are in Taiwan, and my grandma and grandpa (on my dad's side) are in Greece. There are lots of dogs here to play with, but I miss my family. Here's a picture of me and my other grandma to help me remember happier times. Counting down the days 'til they come back to get me!

Lookie at me. I'm a gentle(wo)man and a scholar. I graduated from med school today! Just kidding...It was actually my mom. Still, Dr. Riley suits me, no?

My New Park!

Mommy and Auntie Jordan signed a lease on an apartment in the Upper East Side on Monday, right next to a beautiful park with two dog runs (a big dog run and a little dog run). Here are some pics of my new park!

Moving to NYC!

Not sure if you heard the important news, but we're moving to NYC in June! It will be hard without Daddy (he's staying here), but there is a lot to look forward to! These are some of the things I've been promised...

1. Bocce's Bakery biscuits at Shake Shack! Om nom nom. I have requested this for every birthday from here on out.

2. Fab Dog taxi toy. I sure hope it squeaks!

3. Blueblood Living Jackie O. collar and leash for those long walks in Central Park.

4. Sex and the City Coat! Love that big bow on the back.

5. Wagwear pet carrier, for when I get to go shopping with mom and Auntie Jordan.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 1 year old last week, on March 20th. My mom threw me a huge bday bash, and even invited another doggie friend for me to play with! (Unfortunately we had never met before and I was terrified of her!) Here are some pictures from the night:

The favors were mason jars with dog figurines hot glue-gunned to the lid and spray painted gold, with dog bone-shaped chocolate chip cookies (for the humans obviously), and yogurt frosting cannolis and carob peanut butter cups from my new favorite store, Phydeaux (for the dogs).
