The charmings as a family fascinate me. We don't know what there parents fairy tale was. But all of their children have destinies, or are at least presumed to have destinies. If you look at each of their destinies by the end of the show, none of them are the star of their own fairy tale. Daring is the beast in beauty and the beast but beauty has always been the main character in that. Dexter, as the good king barely makes an appearance in the original fairy tale. And darling, maybe the night in shining armor but the fairy tale is still called snow white and the seven dwarfs.

This led me to think about the other charming families. Is this quite literally their purpose? To be the love interest in someone else's fairy tale. It kind of fucked up. Your entire identity and future wrapped up in someone else's story where you're just a prop, oftentimes without your own name.

Thinking ab makeup and while Raven in the books canonically avoids looking into mirrors for too long (in fear of growing vain like her mother), my take is more an actual paranoia and phobia, something she only started confronting when she knew she’d have to leave for boarding school and be around regular mirrors, not just the metal mirrors her father was able to get through to her her incapable of being enchanted.

(Ravens corridor and foyer and room don’t have any mirrors in them. In fact, most of the mirrors in the castle have been either moved or covered on behalf of the Good King ordering it just so his daughter would be able to walk down a hallway without shaking in her boots)

Which leads me to believe that Ravens makeup routine is simple to the point she can do it without a reflection to help, or at least possible with just a small handheld metal mirror compact.

Powdered foundation, she has such a wonderful complexion she doesn’t need coverage but doing the other parts of her makeup don’t deem right without it.

Tinted gloss, gives more leeway for mistakes and less obvious when she needs to fix it up again, I already feel Ravens lips are pretty dark at the get go honestly too.

Singular shade of eyeshadow on her lids. She’s an enjoyer of the finger pad method which adds to her darker grunge look.

Her default hairstyle being something that’s relatively easy to do with little mirror help as well, just parting the hair framing her head and fastening them at the back.

Raven knows she’s pretty and she enjoys feeling and looking pretty! But the worry of becoming vain to the point of her mother I feel is a valid worry with how the Evil Queen demonstrates it to her daughter. I feel Raven still having these worries yet still engaging in things like makeup is a good sign though!

I think if EAH ever got to summer since they were doing all the seasons in the series I think I’d be fun to do something underwater related with Michelle Mermaid. Like imagine the girls transforming into mermaids or have some of water event storyline at the school or beach. Even a lake in the enchanted forest where we meet the lady of the lake or her daughter from the fairytales of King Arthur as a side plot would be fun staying close to the school. Would be a good chance also to introduce a lot of water base fairytale characters.
