Healer Tommy, but in the sense that he rewinds someones body to before the point of the injury or illness so someone can be treated for their wound or ailments earlier than they were.
Tommy rewinds a broken leg, doctors ready the leg with a frame and cast so when the break plays again, the leg is already perfectly in place.
Rewinding an infected wound so when the wounds breaks the skin again it can be properly sterilised and stitched in a sterile environment.
Rewinding a brain tumour to where its a safe size to operate, rewinding a bone eating tumour and getting it operated on before it eats away the bone. The bone tumour being plucked from time before it eats away the bone meaning it didnt eat the bone in the first place.
Speeding up healing after proper treatment has been done so the struggle is over faster.
Whenever I start examining Tommy’s relationships I’m always just struck by the fact that he’s right btw. Like his “what’s the point” mentality is right. This is not some unwarranted fear he has he’s RIGHT. Everyone DOES leave him. He IS always left behind. No one DOES put in the effort to stay. He IS forced to deal with being abandoned every time he gets close to someone. Like he has only ever been proven right about that and I just
*nervously side glances my idea that one of the reasons thinkfast broke up is David knew one reason Tommy keeps Martin around is because the man isnt lucid enough to chose to not be around Tommy and cant leave him of his own will. And with how his powers work he Knows its partially true outside of Tommy also being a kind and forgiving person hes admittedly selfish.*
Headcanon/AU shit I’ve pulled out my arse for Ever After High:
For a while I’ve been thinking of what could future plot points for Ever After High be and how it would be handled, and I think I’ve come up with one. Frankly heavily inspired by both @pontipines and @nothirtysix with their visions of the main cast Charming family. Nothirtysix’s rendition of the Charmings all having the blue hair streaks but the boys covering theirs up bc it’s a known that it’s majority women that have them.
I’m connecting this to the fact that the Blue Fairy of the last few generations of the Pinocchio story is retired after she made Cedar come to life, retired and VERY comfortable with herself. Cedar’s story isn’t even ‘done’ yet and Blue is living the life without a worry already.
The idea is, the Charming siblings were all born gravely ill and weak, whether they were actually triplets or Irish triplets I’ve yet to decide, but their parents needed them saved, needed them alive. (I imagine Charming inheritance is hinged upon creating children, maybe more inheritance if you connect your children to well known destinies). But they’re all so frail and both times it’s certain they won’t make it past a few months. In comes the Blue Fairy and a deal.
The deal is their children will live healthy and long lives, and back then when not following a destiny is out of the question, that would’ve been somewhere in the fine print as well. (Of course, how frantic they would’ve been, specifics of WHICH destinies was not spoken of. Perhaps being asked to ensure they’d marry royalty would be the move, which, you know, will work out for all of them.)
As a result all three will have the blue streaked hair, something no other Charming’s in either of their lines have. Perhaps their mother takes to dyeing a few pieces to try and create a line of proof. This further explains their strange abilities. Daring’s smile being blinding, Darling slowing down time perception, and Dexter having a faint inducing gaze when his eyes aren’t obscured. They’re magical, truly, because they’re being kept alive by a spell. A spell so big that the payout from the Charming’s was so large that the Blue Fairy could announce her retirement and be left alone for a very, very long time.
Now, to connect to Pontipines’ idea, of Blondie actually being the Charming’s half sister via an affair. She came out healthy, ‘just right’ if you will, and I imagine it was actually the stress and anger in Queen Charming’s discovery of an affair child that led to less than ideal conditions during pregnancy, added on to possible predisposed genetic issues after several generations of closed off royal families. Perhaps even a persisting curse. Or perhaps the amorphous living being of Destiny acting out against being controlled by trying to prune a branch of the Charming’s that infest it so.
Now, the the actual plot idea: the Charming triplet’s are being sustained by a spell that is directly connected to Destiny bc their Destiny to die as infants was course corrected (is also why the Charming’s got pregnant again after Daring so quickly, they thought he was going to die), so their lives are dependent on a system that in their teen years is completely overhauled, so whilst they’re still alive, the ties that they depend on are being shaken and are frankly left vulnerable, unbeknownst to them.
The idea goes something happens with the Blue Fairy’s previously cast spells, they’re left on a type of standby while Destiny stretches its limbs and reconfigures what it’s going to do now that it’s been set free. The Charming’s and co are in let’s say their third year, things have been progressing and change has ruffled many feathers so the Charming kids aren’t talking to their parents right now, there’s a warning from the retired Blue Fairy that she’s had to come back to monitor things and sends out a warning that all her spells she’s cast will lower in power so she can untangle some stuff with little kickback. Everyone prepares to not see Cedar for a while, like a short coma. None of them expect the Charming’s to not being waking up the morning after they give Cedar a big slumber party.
It’s either this or there’s exposure to something that negates the Blue Fairy’s magic but then that’s a reveal via the Charming’s dropping as if they’re dead in front of everyone. Pick your poison.
Ensues is a panic at a sudden reveal through them being in the same state as Cedar that their lives are dependent on magic, and when the Charming’s phones are turned on there’s the realisation that them not talking to their parents meant they didn’t get the badly worded warnings and pleas to come home so the secret won’t be revealed, because none of them were aware their own lives would be held in such a precarious balance.
This is meant to act as a showing of consequence of dismantling the Destiny system as it has been for hundreds of years, so many spells and deals were tied to it that when there’s an eventual confrontation with the Blue Fairy’s for basically blue screening their friends, who are also LIVING HUMANS and not made out of wood, they can’t just be kept in a coma for weeks without medical assistance. Plus the learning that she has to do this now or else so many of the spells would’ve imploded on themselves down the line. Blondie being the investigative journalist she is is in the main group this time, I don’t know just yet how it would all work but perhaps her being their blood sister and not dependent on completing her destiny to live (at least in the same way), will have something to do with the Blue Fairy being able to wake them up earlier by fixing their spell problem sooner bc she’s a direct blood relative.
Any input or further ideas are welcome! This is pretty bare bones lol
Bloom's parents could still be Mike and Vanessa, since Vanessa is a butterfly name and therefore generally common, while Mike could be either a diminutive of Michele or some simplification of Eastern European names, which were the main migratory band in Italy until the last decade.
I've already talked to you about Bloom's name variations, so I'd like to mention the surname. In fact, the most fitting option in my opinion is one and only one: Esposito! Besides being a very common surname in Italy, its meaning is perfect for Bloom's story: Esposito, literally "exposed," refers to the children exposed in the wheels of orphanages where they were abandoned. Therefore, it's consistent with Bloom's story.
The only other option is "Di Pietro" which is literally the Italian translation of "Peters" the surname of the live action.
The other Winx, if we wanted to give them a surname; perhaps as a cover for when they're on Earth—
Stella would be De Angelis (lit. "Linked to angels"), Tecna would Greco (lit. "Greek," given her name),
Flora is Suarez (Spain surname AND,is the surname of Ilaria Latini son, Flora og voice actress).
Musa probably uses her Chinese name, so to honor her mother, she would be known as Wa-Musa.
Aisha would have Abdul, which is the most common Afro-Muslim surname.
Omg Esposito sounds perfect! And would add that historically at least in Mike’s family at one point he’s descended from an abandoned orphan, making his rescue and adoption of a child like a family full circle moment like it was just meant to happen!
The girls researching earthern names to give themselves for whenever they visit earth as well would definitely be something they would be thinking hard about. Either choosing names that sound similar to their home planet given names that simply dont exist in earth census records, or choosing ones that they feel described their own family lineages and history best!! Stella going for celestial things such as angels and also basically being one in a sunlit winged hero type, shed def go for that one.
Just them looking at human culture groups and figuring which ones theyd fit into more locally to countries surrounding italy and such so theres not so many questions of Bloom having so many international friends all of a sudden lol.
So, Erika Fiorella Esposito for Blooms given earth name it is!!
Im trying to think on if Bloom’s name given by Mike and Vanessa would need to be changed bc im making them definitively from Italy. I could definitely keep Bloom as a frequent and default nickname, i know full well different words from other languages bleed and crossover a lot. But a lot of italian flower names are too close to Flora and rlly far from Bloom…
Would it be really funny if Blooms earth given name and Flora’s name are actually spelled super close? That way they absolutely default to her nickname that she likes a lot better, haha.
Bc the ones that pop up most often are like Fiore (which looks like fire which is super cool) and things like Fiorella and then just straight up flower breed names
Vanessa i could easily see giving her daughter both a flower name and nickname regarding her profession and passion for florals.
In my au, Raven gets a package before Legacy day from her father and in the note is told its for her to wear if she would like.
It’ll be a dress made to her tastes, made completely out of fabrics recovered from old pieces her mother and grandmother wore, so it fits completely inside the Legacy Day rules of wearing historical clothing. The Good King is no stranger to Headmaster Grimm’s rule sticklering from Evelynn’s days, and he worries about his daughter.
It wouldve been quickly done, i cant help but think the citizens on the Evil Quindom wouldn’t think too harshly of Raven seeing as the Good King had done wonderful work for the domain. That and i like to think the people were bracing for brattish and prankster behaviour similar to her mother, but it never came. Raven i can only see as a locally very well liked princess for her domain.
I suppose i should describe the dress i imagine her in, lol.
Straight neckline, sleeveless, solid gradient fabric with a matching coloured pleated/folded overlayer. Bodice to lower skirts is a gradient from lavender to indigo, partially encrusted with both colourmatched and white/silver gems.
Ballgown type shape, a soft slope, ruffles and layers increasing as it goes down and turns indigo.
To create the shape of the bodice are metallic bands, under the bust, between the bust and waist, on the waist, just on top of the hips and solidly in the middle of the hips. They are black in colour and i cant decide if the gems on them match the dress or are turquoise. Shes both a purple and turquoise lover, haha. I like to think its her fathers preferred colour, and the colour of his eyes. She finds comfort in it, like hes there with her.
It comes with a black leather neck and shoulder piece. Think those little shoulder cardigans from decades ago. It sits around her neck and fastens with necklaces that are also from the Queen family collection. Its also encrusted but now with both pearls and white gems, a white dotted outline from where it comes up her neck and slightly goes beyond her shoulders. The base at the front doesnt cover over top of the dress. It wont move because there’s silk ribbon acting at the bottom of the sleeve holes.
How she does her hair and makeup and goes on to dress her arms and feet is still up in the air, but i could see fishnet sleeves and boots. And she would still add elements from her mothers legacy day garb, i just really, REALLY, wanted a different base design for her legacy day haha.
EAH Raven's side of the Dorm (Before Apple's makeover)
Well, I'm back on my Ever After High/Interior Design horse again.
During the series we did see a few of the characters' dorms. Seeing how Raven and Apple are the main protagonists of the series we saw their dorm room more than others, but we never saw Raven's true side of the dorm.
I wanted to give my opinion on how I think her dorm would look like had Apple never touched it.
In the beginning of the series/books Apple redecorated Raven's side of the room to make it look like a traditional evil queen's lair.
Apple, girl, seriously?!
Not only did you decide to switch Maddie to be Raven's roommate without consent (Actually, Headmaster Grimm played a role in that) you went through her belongs to redecorate her side of the dorm (later in the books she spied on Raven through mirrors), there's a reason why Raven's upset with you.
In the webseries Apple gave Raven an evil throne, an evil crown, and an evil haunted mirror (she may have added the extra mirrors), while in the book Apple put spikes on most of Raven’s furniture and gave her a goblin bed sheet set. As a way to make Raven feel at home and show how much Apple appreciated Raven being a part of her story. Unaware that Raven hates looking at herself in mirrors due to her mother's influence and doesn't want to be evil. Apple went as far as to frame a picture of herself and Raven before they truly became friends. BOUNDARIES!
I think Raven leans more into whimsy/trad/glamrock goth style without looking evil/intimidating.
Raven's Dorm. I did a moodboard of Raven's side of the dorm along with the other characters, but I want to show what Raven's side would look like if Apple never redecorated it.
Bed
For Raven's bed I wanted something dark yet comfy. Due to coming from royalty Raven would have a rich gothic aesthetic minus the spikes and whatever Apple added to her furniture. She would have lots of posters of her favorite bands and singers (mainly Taylor Quick) on the walls to replace the mirrors and candles to illuminate her side of the dorm. I honestly see Raven not having too much stuff in her dorm.

Dresser
Raven's vanity isn't just where Raven gets ready for the day, but it has a built-in keyboard that she plays and writes song with. I tried to find a vanity similar to the destiny vanity, but these were the closets I could find.

Mirror
Raven's full-length mirror is where she does last looks before heading out. I honestly think the mirrors in Raven's room were just more gifts from Apple. Raven spends the least amount of time looking at herself in the mirror. It was also mentioned in the book that Raven tries not to compare herself to Apple since that’s what lead to her mother going off-book and vain, so she avoids them. The only mirrors Raven would keep in her dorm would be her vanity and her full-length mirror.

Door
Raven's entrance (along with all the other students) have photos of friends, family members, and home framed on the walls.

Bookcase/ Music Area
In the books it said Raven was an avid reader and we all know she's a music lover. So, it would be nice for her to have a space to chill while reading or listening to music.

Desk
For Raven's desk I went for a neon theme, plus I think the guitars on the wall suited Raven's taste.

Throne
I did see a throne similar to Raven's, but I wanted something more comfy for her to relax on.

Instruments
Raven's vanity has a keyboard, she has two guitars she plays, and has an amazing singing voice. Raven keeps her instruments on her side of the dorm. I headcanon the white guitar that's seen in Raven's dorm was her father's, The Good King, and he gave it to her before she went to school. I think music was their bonding activity.

Coffee Machine
At the beginning of 'Croquet Tastrophe’ Apple was first seen in Raven’s side of the room for some odd reason. But, wait, Apple has a mug in her hand for some reason. Which made me think Raven owns a coffee machine that she lets Apple use sometimes.

Well, I'm done. I did get inspired by @ughigottaheadache Raven's Bedroom post .
Fantastic work! It would make total sense Raven’s dorm would be more modern than i had been thinking her bedroom at the castle would be.
Youve completely captured her essence and interests. Just from a feeling I have about her, Raven likely spends a lot of time in either of her rooms, she learned to craft them into places she wants to stay. She is still gothic and emo and punk in aesthetic but she also wants softness and comfort, as thats what the furniture in her home would grant.
Now i get why Enjin fumbled that first interaction with Amo so bad.
Her living conditions and him likely clocking the implications of it all very quickly wouldve made him so uncomfortable, and likely no one in that room knew about his past, so he overshot into nonchalantness so much that he came off as a total douche with that ‘how you doing?’ line.
Tfw you try to play it cool whilst your horrific childhood trauma is actively being triggered but you keep fumbling the interactions and come off as a weirdo. And now a teenaged girl hates you with the fury of a thousand suns.
(Oh and also like dont think im making an excuse lol even id be pissed with someone if they spoke to me like that regardless of the reason)
Mentions of slavery, abuse of of a child, human trafficking
do want to point out that Enjin never confirms or denies that he escaped before he was sold
Alto only made a guess that he escaped and Enjin didnt verbally or physically respond in a way we can figure meant ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Enjin only speaks after this when the subject has changed from him to the other kids he felt responsible for.
Keep in mind here, ‘from my parents and the adults at the orphanage’. My guess is these words are all last names that were supposed to denote guardianship, not particularly ownership, but he was definitely owned by the guy who started running the slave market out of the orphanage.
Circling back to my point he didn’t clarify on not being sold, its entirely possible he wasn’t sold off but instead he was loaned or a paid for temporary slave. Clearly by being one of older/bigger boys it’s likely he was ‘difficult’ (having and asserting his own will, harder to groom and manipulate in that manner) to work with.
We do not know the exact manner of which these kids were being abused but we can generally assert fairly well what people who want to buy child slaves want.
Just because he might’ve escaped before being owned by a new owner doesn’t mean he couldn’t have possibly been trafficked and sold for temporary access.
It honestly feels gross typing this out but i really wanted to point out that it’s entirely still in the wheelhouse that Enjin was trafficked before he escaped. And I’m sure with how dead his eyes looked in that panel, he was thinking whatever actions he’d personally been victimised by were punishment for getting those other kids stuck in the deep end.
This all paired with whilst he’s a cocky bastard he doesn’t even show off his body at all, he’s always in baggy clothes. And perhaps a desired side effect of the smoking and drinking is to make it undesirable to be too close to him bc his breath would reek. The man chain smokes his breath smells awful.
He-Lectrix strikes me as both a barista and a bartender, smth ab him says to me he should be mixing liquids and that he’s great at it.
Also would be so real that the guy needed two jobs before basically getting a corporate hero job. Probably still does it for the love of the job and skill, seeing ppl happy when they drink his work and getting that approval.
Our intro to him being in the sixties still and all, he’d clearly a type of new wave (sixties era) thinker and lifestyle type. Would’ve probably been a small child during ww2 and living in the aftershocks of that.
And either he has a heavy accent or how his face sits is a form of palsy/facial paralysis which could be completely naturally occurring or perhaps as a result of his powers damaging him. Both options sound fun tbh. Tho i have no clue where his accent would be from I’m not good with pinning them down.
With the new job he could probably afford to and would have to, cut down his regular job hours, so perhaps he would find employment at a different place. One thats usually slower so he could have a breather in some mundanity, while still getting to be creative.
Also, Lichtenberg scars from the incident that also caused his facial paralysis, ofter wears long sleeves bc of them.
Quick idea post about Enjin’s tattoos before i go to bed
The placements we get from that chart, idk if thats actually official but lets say it is.
The tattoos in my mind are reminiscent of armour. If hes the one we see those manga covers in those POV shots and hes covered up those brands, then he uses tattoos to cover stuff up, hide it away, keep it safe.
So, the placements.
Hands, forearms, upper arms, chest, neck, upper back and navel.
These are points of himself that Enjin is protecting from the outside world. He covers his arms, covers the branding. Covers his heart, protects it by mot actually letting anyone in. Covers his neck, reminds me of the phrase ‘sticking my neck out for you’, leading me to the next one. Upper back, which makes me think someone metaphorically stabbed him in the back.
And finally, his navel, his belly button. Its the more unique tattoo he has as well, its where we connect to our mothers in the womb as well.
Take notice that his tattoos only cover his arms, upper torso and his navel, the rest of him is ‘vulnerable’ outside of his emotional tattoo armour. He’s gone out of his way outside the lines of his other tattoos to cover this up and protect it. Could it be that his tattoos all come together to tell a story? Or are they a culmination of several things he seeks to protect and hide away?
If i piece them all together:
Someone from his past that he held close to his heart, someone he stuck his neck out for, betrayed him, stabbed him in the back. This person is connected to his history. No whether or not the betrayer was one of his own parents or the betrayer hurt him through his parents or simple hurt them, is up in the air for me tbh its late as shit for me rn.
Idea: going with the classical route of the Evil Queen’s punishment being the searing hot iron shoes, and the idea that in order to complete the destiny system cycle, their feet get cut off to stop the burning but also incredibly physically limit the Evil Queens in their young adulthood-
The Evil Queen’s domain by default should be very wheelchair accessible and friendly. At the very least, the palace and royal grounds are wheelchair accessible.
This does lead me to a caveat that I think Raven’s mother was so powerful of a sorceress that she was able to grow back her feet through magic. In her mind she would’ve associated the being bound to assistive devices for the rest of her life to be demeaning bc her mother would’ve been wheelchair bound as well. Raven is the first of their line to grow up without a wheelchair bound mother.
It would also add more of a fear of loss over control of her body if she grew up and her grandmother was alive and living in the palace. She sees first hand what following her Destiny the expected way does, and sees what following the route of pure wickedness and evil gets her. But then, she also grows up seeing the hurt and pain that being good and loving someone so much did to her father when her parents fell out of love.
No damned clue if anyone has also posted this idea.
I think it’d be fun if Oritel had been an elf/was actually an elf. He’s always wearing that headdress helmet too so it’s not like his ears are always visible, it’s only ever during the 3d movie we can see them
Tommy having multiple powers that are actually an extension of how he has his speed (molecular field around him which is how he can latch onto molecules outside of his body and field of reach) is very real to me.
He should also be able to eventually turn back the time of an object and change it removing it from regular time and use it how he pleases. Like reverting an apple back to a flower and being able to stop it from return back to how it was as an apple.
His molecular field should also be a damned shield, one that acts like tectonic telekinesis in a way, he should be able to move them to control things physically.
Speeding up the time on objects to make them weak and brittle like metal bars suddenly turned to rust dust that he can just blow away.
The heat and pyrokinesis would be through causing extreme friction between particles through his field
A sixth sense of movement if he casts his field out the feel things. Sensing when things are in motion and pursuit, like how the aspect of Tommy in that avengers academy was the only one that could sense Mephisto’s pursuit of them, he was sensing his movement through space and time.
With the time speeding up thing, being able to heal either by speeding up would healing, or by rewinding time on the wound to allow proper care to happen the the wound has to return, bc people are different to objects and would have worse results if he simply rewound time and ‘removed’ the act from time. Like rewinding a broken leg so it can be set again properly, rewinding and infection so the foreign bodies can be removed and flushed before an infection sets in.
Also like, I feel like Tommy has a great engineer brain, he can guess how things work a lot of the time and intuit how to fix it.
Some specifics about the housing of the Greek monsters in this world
Eros has struck a deal with multiple of the Greek student’s parents. For example, Medusa works in the monster crime and punishment system, and Asterius (the Minotaur) patrols many of the tunnels of the catacombs and maps them out on a regular basis, the Cyclops acts as security for the compound building Eros owns and they all live in.
They made these deals for a chance for their kids to have better lives.
The compound is a large and very beautiful building in Oregon, close to Monster High. It’s on the coast on a set of cliffs, where they have access to the catacombs for their kids to access monster high via cable car transferred to short halls and a boat ride. All financed by Eros.
The compound is less like dorms and more like a collection of decently sized apartments, room is made for others to come and join the three monster families that’ve struck deals with the god.
It’s an old fashioned building and Eros paired with Dracula to have it built to his older fashioned specifications. Think an opulent mansion with clear Ancient Greek and later Italian influences. Courtyard, hedge mazes, statues (they’re actually people Medusa was court sanctioned to freeze), wrought iron, braziers, vineyards, a bathhouse
And yeah this does mean the other Greek monster kids have seen and to a degree know C.A Cupid bc she also lives there.
Deuce is most often found near the main fireplace and in the kitchen, he’s often making coffees for his mother to start the day
Manny is often blazing through the hedge mazes surrounding the property, his favourite thing is to scare the human kids that throw things over the fences and try to climb in and really de the monsters
Iris likes to be on the roof and higher up verandas, she likes watching the sea peaking over the cliff face and is usually the last to show up for dinner
