hello! I have come to share my thoughts with you! from a movie goer standpoint, it was really fun and entertaining. from a tolkien fan standpoint, it was kinda butchered. • Kili died by tauriel, not thorin, which is the one thing I really didn't want?? • the timeline at the end where thranduil sends legolas off to find Aragorn is way off. • in FotR, legolas is in Rivendell for other reasons, not just because he's following aragorn. • I don't remember giant mountain worms in the book... but it's okay since Thranduil ships legolas and aragorn plus there was tons of bagginshield tbh I also like that moment where thorin sassily slides away from bard
