More holiday baking 2015
A word about the cute sugar cookie garnishes - I confess I didn’t make them. I bought them at The Mercantile, a store in my neighbourhood where I buy a lot of my baking supplies.
Also, peppermint bark is so easy to make and it was quite a hit this year. It’s just 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate melted on stove top or in micowave with a tbsp of vegetable oil. Line a square cake pan with over-hanging parchment and spread the chocolate evenly. Refrigerate for 30 min. Repeat with same amount of good quality white chocolate and add a tsp of peppermint. Spread over set chocolate then add crushed candy canes. Let set in fridge for another 30 min. Take out and break up.
Holiday baking 2015
My holiday baking production was a bit curtailed this year due to an injured back and a full-time job, but this is what I managed to bake.
