This is why I had to stop watching iwtv highkey. I love online fandom spaces and find the experience of enjoying a show boring when i cant be in community with other fans. It's impossible for me to be in community with Lestat stans lol

I think ppl (and especially book readers) chose Lestat as their favorite and Louis as their most hated character (bc if THEY were with lestat, they would obviously give in to his demands and live the vampiric life of killing without discernment, morality etc) and work backwards to justify those positions

Bc you cannot look me in my face and say 1) lestat "doesn't change up events and doesn't let his extreme emotions distort things" bc "he lies by omission, not just changing things outright" and 2) a lie by omission is much more tolerable and better than a lie where facts have been changed/twisted. Like ??? I know these aren't real life people, they're characters, but that is an insane justification. You would not be okay with a partner or friend lying to you by omission bc "at least they didn't tell me a wrong fact :)" LIAR!!!!!!
