If you don't understand someone's mood disorders don't ever tell them "Just get over it." It is not that DAMN easy!

Everyone will tell you just be happy. Its not that easy though. How can you be happy when you're the reason you're hurting. The best advice I've ever gotten was from my therapist. If you can't confide In someone keep a journal. That way your depression doesn't overfill the jar you're holding it in. At some point it's gonna seep out. Let that journal be the overflow.

The second best advice I've gotten wasn't really advice. I learned it the hard way. "Learn to love yourself." It's something I want others to know as well, because if you don't learn to love yourself, you'll never get those moments of happiness. You know the ones that make you want to keep on living. The ones that make you want to give up self harm, and live for yourself.

WIP of Oogie Boogie

I decided to do a chain stitch and split stitch to give him a woven cloth/burlap feel.

This is the first embroidery I’ve done where I spliced different colored strands together! It adds additional texture and a more organic look to him. I’m go glad my experiment worked!

He’s almost done just in time for Halloween :)
