reminder that gazafunds is a great website.
each time you load the site, it shows one randomly selected, verified fundraiser that's low on funds.
extremely straightforward, & an easy to remember url. it's my go-to when I'm able to give; removes any room for procrastination or overthinking.

Asking if the fictionalised version of John Lennon circa 1963 knows about preparing for anal sex???
The fact that the tumblr Beatles fandom leaves âOh Johnny (I Donât Know)â so unacknowledged is insane to me.
Maybe itâs because Oh Johnny seems too âfanfictionâ to exist: an unreleased song written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon in 1960 with lyrics like âOh Johnny Johnny/ How can I tell âem youâre the one Iâm going with/I donât know, I donât know/ Oh Johnny Johnny, what do I tell my father?â
But nope. Itâs totally real. I mean, it sounds awful since it was a 1960 home recording, but it exists.
Iâll link the rest of the Forthlin Road Tapes under the cut too. (Warning that they sound like shit because of the recording quality).
Bob: Topless frocks are the big news, topless swim suits.
[âŠ]
John: It sounds a vaguely good idea, but I wouldnât have my wife or any of me friends wearinâ âem.
Paul: Well you - youâve had us wearinâ âem. John: I know, Paul, but youâre so well built.

McLennon Internet Archive Project
Introduction
Hi everyone!
I had this project of creating an online mclennon archive on which everyone could upload files and look them up since a while. This was because tumblr is fine and some blogs on here are really well organized and they're very good sources of information, but I thought that a chronologically organized collective archive could be even more effective for research.
Page link
So basically I asked @undying-love about what they thought of my project and they told me they also wanted to do something similar, so we created this internet archive page: https://archive.org/details/@the_mclennon_files/web-archive
How it works
The idea is that if someone wants to upload a file (image, text, audio, video) that can be considered relevant in the context of the history of the relationship (which means NO FANART OR FICTION) between John and Paul they log in on the account, upload the file, write the source, date and details in the file description as indicated in the page details (x), and put it in the correct folder, according to the format (audio, video, etc) of the file.
In this way everything would be sorted in chronological order and easily accessible.
We wrote everything you need to know in order to upload files in addition to the rules and guidelines in the page description (x). Please read them before using the account.
Account credentials
The account credentials will be shared on here, so that everyone who wants to upload a file can log in and do so, therefore it is based on trust that No one uses the account maliciously. However I think that there should be some kind of admins who check the content which has been uploaded to see if it's ok. If you want to be an admin please dm me.
Anyway here's the credentials:
Email: [email protected]
Password: the-mclennon-files
â ïž Log in just if you want to upload files, you don't need to be logged in if you just want to access to them!
Final words
Please don't go share these credentials all over the internet but just with people who are interested and reliable. But you can share the link of the archive with whoever might be interested.
The archive is empty for now, but it's ready to be used (I'll probably start uploading something in the next days), so if you're interested in this project check out the page, reblog this post, or talk to someone who might be interested as well about it.
If you have any asks about how it works, suggestions or comments, dm me or send asks and I'll be pleased to answer, and I think @undying-love will be, too.
----------------------------------------
If you think that this is a nice idea please share and talk about it so that the project can kick off!
I donât like Peter Tork â never have liked him,
I donât like him as a man. I have to qualify that now: Me not liking somebody doesnât mean that theyâre bad people â he could do a lot of wonderful things for and to me. Not liking someone to me is a very gut reaction â a very visceral attitude. The first reaction to Peter was one of dislike.
I donât like him, I have never liked him, and I probably will never like him.
I didnât enjoy playing in a band with Peter, and I still donât.
Our tastes were much the same, our political beliefs were similar, our ideas of fun, pleasure, our intellectual capacity, our ability to talk to each other â we were very much alike. I have a great respect for Peter â his technical abilities on an instrument and the positions he took were well conceived ideas, always a posture with a motive, never emotional. I donât like my mother. She happens to be a very nice lady â never done anything that would make me not like her â but I donât. I like my wife
Beatles fans when you tell them your favourite song is hey jude and not a rehearsal tape with johnâs voice calling out âpaul⊠paulâŠâ in a strangely subservient, pleading way
