When we break up we lose more than a person. We lose our safe space.
Some people might understand what I am talking about. We, as queer, as sapphics, we are not like other humans. We have our own world, our words, our way to feel, our way to be seen. We create a world only for two.
When we say goodbye the world starts to collapse. It disappears. We become two souls with no home.
Our safe space is gone. And maybe, at the beginning, you don't realise it but with time. When you try to find it, when you need it to feel safe, you realise it is gone. The possibility to be who you wanted in sex, the way that they or you knew their body, the way your hands knew were to go, the way you said i love you without using those words. The way you talked about your queerness is gone.
We lose more than a person.
But I'm sure, we are able to create new safe spaces, new worlds, new and better. New and real. New and with real love.
We are builders.
