ROSE LANDRY: and i just feel so badddddd for him his parents are really sweet but they've been in charge of his career since day one, when he was like seven. and i mean involved involved his mom is his manager she hires everyone she books all the gigs he spends every summer at his vacation home ten minutes away from them. and you know he worries about everything all the time how he's going to be perceived if it'll make his life hell if it'll ruin his career if it'll disappoint his parents. and he's cute and i like him but he can be kind of awkward it's like he has no idea how to relax or act natural or speak to someone. sometimes i can See him thinking through the most palatable course of action between us and i want to shake him. i keep having to remind him that we're seeing each other because we like each other and that we're not a thought problem to strategize about. he's just so private and afraid of attention. even though, obviously, he likes being recognized for being good at what he does.
