Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 | 2026
If you're not obsessively watching professonial hockey players fall in love, what are you doing with you life?
This gets anti K*stle. DLDR
I understand shipping K*stle to some extent. They're both attractive, both have similar traits, Karen believes in Frank and tries to help him but it honestly feels like that's all she'll be if she finds herself in a relationship with him: a crutch to help him get over losing his family.
I try to be realistic here, and I can't help but wonder what kind of life she'd lead if she's with him. I don't care for any ships, but I just feel like it'd be such a betrayal of her character and her needs to allow her to be with Frank.I don't wish that on Karen. If they get together wouldn't she have to always be on the run, on the lookout? Is that the kind of life she deserves? And that's without thinking that Frank is virtually the same character he's always been.
Is it fair to demand that of Karen? To demand she gives up everything that makes her who she is for him? I wouldn't wish that on myself or anyone else. That's a heavy burden to bare. She can't and shouldn't be responsible for Frank's happiness. That's not her job. Frank will never be happy if he doesn't allow himself that, and he won't allow himself that.
Unless he grows a lot which I don't see happening, I don't think he could or should be in a relationship.
I want Karen to have a life that is hopeful and that flourishes and that allows her to be an investigator, a friend, a woman, a protector. I don't want her to be have to give up everything or to have to be hold responsible to be someone's "after".
Karen likes wild men, and I think part of her attraction to Frank comes from both this trait of his and her desire to save him but that's not all she strives for.
Karen wants connection, companionship. She wants someone that understands every part of her and wants someone she understands every part of.
And even if I don't ship Karedevil, at least I can say that there's gentleness in ever scene they're together. Karen is always surrounded by light, they both are, whenever we have scenes of them both, and I think that's the light they both deserve to have.
I think Matt finding a relationship where he can be himself, where he can be vulnerable and open and to have the relationship not be toxic is actually quite good storytelling and I don't agree that it wouldn't make sense for the character.
Matt might not trust easily but he strives for connection, he wishes for love he doesn't have to explain. I wish people stopped assuming that just because he jumps from woman to woman that means he doesn't want a serious, stabler relationship. I think he does, is just that the secrets and Matt's issues always end up playing a part in how bad these relationships go.
And Karen clearly wants a relationship too, she feels lonely but I believe she's finally learning she doesn't need to settle for second best and that she deserves true happiness.
In a story surrounded by darkness and grief, both Karen and Matt deserve light.
That's not to say Frank doesn't deserve it, he does. But I fear he might not want it or be ready for it.
I agree with most of the above post.
I do want Matt and Karen together, but I really do see why people ship Frank and Karen. The actors do have massive chemistry, and I really do think they have romantic feelings towards each other. I really do think the Matt/Karen shippers should stop dismissing that and accept it as fact. They made it canon in DDBA. Something is probably going to happen between them in S2 or The Punisher.
That being said, it doesn't mean Frank/Karen are going to end up together. It also doesn't mean Karen doesn't love Matt.
My biggest problem with the Frank/Karen ship is that it's a doomed ship. There is no happy ending for Frank. He's not going to stop killing. Death is the ending for him. Like the poster said above, what life could Karen and Frank have? Karen deserves so much better than to live in the shadows. I think the shippers have this rose-colored view of Frank. They think he's going to retire and live happily ever after. That's not going to happen. He already chose his war over her and he always will.
I'm rewatching Daredevil S1, and the Russian mob brothers have more character depth than all the DDBA supporting cast put together in an entire season.

I love the color that Karen's hair turns in this purple lighting!
Little pet peeves about shipping.
Karen/Matt shippers refusing to see that Karen has romantic/sexual feelings about Frank.
Karen/Frank shippers thinking that the Punisher will get a happy ending.
I know that is a generalization and it's just an opinion. Ship away...
Aren't you worried? I'm liable to break another slate over your head. I'm more worried I might break one over yours, carrots.
