@aghheck for a closed starter.
Leslie is running as fast as his waddles run can take him. When he senses danger he’s on the defense and with the crash leaving him disoriented his defenses are at its highest point.
“Hide…hide hide hide.” He repeats over and over as he finds somewhere to hide. Where can he hide? This place is all trees and every single cricket and branch cracking leaves him flinching and waddling even faster.
Something grabs at his leg and trips him as he land on the floor with a thud and whimper and a hitching of his breath.
Ruvik stood at a distance, watching as the boy scurried through the underbrush with his hands clamped tightly together. He contemplated whether or not he’d get down there and stop him from escaping him yet another time, but he knew Leslie would run out of places to go.
Besides, it amused him to see such pointless desperation.
As the figure gradually moved out of sight, Ruvik made his way across the dark mossy floor of the forest after him. He didn’t need to make much effort to catch up; after all, he could just summon a haunted to grab him and keep him in place. He decided he’d do just that.
He looks around the see the haunted. “N-no ! Nonononono !” He keeps repeating as he tries to get up. Something’s holding him down. “L-let go !” He screamed and kept repeating as he tried his hardest to use his free leg to kick whatever’s holding him out of the way.
Freedom ! How he managed was beyond him but he ended up crawling. . .only to have the one he didn’t notice grab his again. “H-help !” He screamed hoping someone, anyone but Ruvik, will come.
